Steve and Lucy were welcoming and friendly, our room was comfortable and clean. The food was good, the full English breakfast set us up for the whole day and the open fire made the evenings very cosy. Great spot for exploring the southern lakes. Will definitely stay here again.

The pub owner saved our moral when we had some nice coffee in the Red Lion after getting drenched on our start of a 5 day hiking tour in the Lake District. Even better we had some wonderful Schnaps for free. Elderberry. 5 out of 5!
