We had a very warm welcome when we arrived and stored our cycles safely there. The hotel is very well decorated, maybe a little bit over-decorated in places. The room was very comfortable with extra touches such as fresh milk, biscuits and crisps. We had dinner here which was very good. The staff were excellent and very smartly dressed. They are a credit to the hotel. The breakfast was very good and the waiter waved us off in the morning. Would highly recommend this hotel.

A hidden gem.Sraff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the area. Nothing too much trouble. Cleaning to the highest standard and decor in rooms is high spec. Plush carpet, comfortable bed and brilliant power shower. Everything you need for a stay in the rooms and little extras Kettle crisps, fresh milk. We had a meal in the restaurant which was of a very high standard. Would recommend the tempura prawns. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice & freshly cooked. Price very modest for such a lovely hotel.

On request there was no Gluten Free annotated menu available and the waiters/waitresses could not suggest what was GF or not. I had to pick something and hope that the chef could possibly make it GF ( meant several trips back to the kitchen and frustration on both sides ) Subsequently we chose a vey simple starter rather than a main course. This is extremely substandard for a restaurant of this expected quality, as I would have thought a properly trained chefs would be able to produce a GF annotated menu like many of the other establishments in Whitehaven - even most of the pubs can manage it these days ! This is normally a place a recommend to my B&B guests, but not now !!

Arrived for a short break at the end of a challenging year - what a great choice. Owners were welcoming and attentive. Room, and rest of hotel, was spotless. Bed was super comfy and bathroom superb. Breakfast was amazing and all staff were polite, welcoming and attentive. A beautiful hotel in a quaint costal town. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the area.
