We stayed here between Christmas and New year 2014 having previously eaten in their excellent Restaraunt some years before. The hotel has undergone extensive refurbishment & decoration and the rooms are all great with good facilities in all the rooms, however there is no access for disabled to the upper floor but rooms are available on the ground floor. The...

We arrived at the hotel after a long 3 hours drive, and we greeted by 2 pleasant men on reception, who had a little joke about our stay (it was Valentines day..!). When we got to our room, we were impressed with the overall finish, and the comfortable carpet which made you feel like you were walking on cotton wool....

I've not been to Hunday Manor for a few years and it's nice to see redecoration has taken place, it's quite plush. This is a review of my meal in the restaurant only. The pre-starter was pate and toast, very nice and a good surprise. I then had the scallops on black pudding with some crispy bacon on top. Again...

I was pleasantly surprised at my 2 night stay only a mile from home. Attending a residential course I was a little disappointed that we were not going further afield. The room was lovely, comfortable & clean, the food was first class and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. My only comment was .... And I shouldn't really grumble about...

This is a really lazy hotel with a captive audience and terrible service. If you need to go to Workington, stay somewhere else. I'll start with the plus points. My room was spotless, with bottles water and really comfy bedding. However there were broken fixtures, and really outmoded decor not shown in the photos. Which is fine for £60, but...

Beautiful hotel and great staff. I took my wife for our wedding anniversary and the setting was perfect. The only problem was the inability of the chef to cook a medium rare steak ... which had to be sent back twice with the hotel staff in agreement, However there was a great effort by the hotel to put this right...

This was our second visit to his hotel in the hope that the experience would be as good as it was last time. We needn't have worried, the staff were brilliant, food was excellent and the service level so much better than you got from the large chain hotels. Best bit might be the hand cooked breakfast in the morning...

We have just returned from a two night stay at Hunday Manor and can't fault it at all. The hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished and is spotless throughout! We paid an additional £45 per head for the New Year's Eve gala dinner and it was worth every penny and more. The food, service, entertainment and atmosphere were all fantastic!!...

We got a deal from Travelzoo which meant we paid 119 for 2 nights B&B. This was about the right price. The hotel is in a beautiful old house with lovely views and the staff were friendly. We did think that the place was looking a bit tired and could do with a refurb. I also got the impression that...
