What a lovely weekend with our 2 young children. The lodge we stayed in was immaculate. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a good lunch at the onsite restaurant and made good use of the pool. The location is great for exploring the Peaks. Highly recommended.

Hi, can anyone tell me if it is possible to walk safely into Ashbourne itself? Is there a pavement along the side of the road? Thanks
There is a pavement but it can be quite narrow in places and the road is very busy, and used by lots of big lorries.

Are there any good restaurants/pubs in nearby towns that allow dogs please? Many thanks
We’ve just returned from a lodge holiday where we had 2 dogs. The George and Dragon in Ashbourne is an excellent dog friendly pub. Even had free dog treats at the bar!
