Arrived at Callow tip camp site and even though it’s single track road there are passing places. Once at the top keep left when a new camper and enter the reception weren’t you’re given a map of the park and a pass for car. Placed in field 2 and plot 155 a lot cramped in with caravan awning and car plot extremely close plots to neighbours No views. Great walks around the park though when you follow the maps. No facilities open no shop no park no pub no swimming pool. Not seen any staff walking around inspecting like you do on some sites Don’t think I’d be back or recommend to anyone

We hired their Dovedale Cottage for a week as a base to walk in the Peaks. Lots of great walks within easy reach, especially the lovely Dovedale valley. Also visited a number of Nation Trust properties also within easy reach. The cottage can accommodate 5 people, with a double bed settee in the lounge. The main activity parts of the site were closed, so no experience of the facilities but there was a pub and what seeemed to be good eating places, both not operating in the pandemic. All staff interacted with were courteous, helpful and friendly. Any issues were efficiently dealt with and always with respect and courtesy. Price was reasonable and met our needs well.

Just returned from a great week end at Callow top. The staff put on a great bonfire display and a great firework display. We ate Friday night and Saturday night in the callow inn. Great food on both nights Lovely place we have booked for 2020 already

We went at the end of the summer holidays. Last few kids were about but not too many lol. We used the pool. It was just warm enough. Great for swimming. Access is good and a long way from any roads. Large hedges split the site up well. Was ok for 24 a night with pool.
