We stayed in the Damson Pod for a couple of nights. It was so clean, cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. It was so peaceful and relaxing, with amazing views of the Peaks and Carsington water in the distance. They really have thought of everything.

We had such a fantastic stay with our dog. Spotless pod with all of the amenities needed, and more. The bathroom facilities are great with a good shower and a hairdryer provided too. The little kitchen has everything needed to be able to cook and the honesty shop is very well stocked. It feels like everything has been really well thought through to make for a great stay. Gorgeous location, stunning views and such a peaceful escape. Fab hosting from Helen too who was super helpful with answering questions and providing welcome info - thank you Helen!

My partner and I came back for the second time this year to celebrate our anniversary as we enjoyed our stay earlier in the year. It is such a beautiful place and not far from Matlock and Bakewell if you want to go out for the day. We enjoyed lighting a fire every night and sitting out next to the pod with blankets as it was so relaxing to be surrounded by the stunning views. We also loved using the binoculars too, to watch the cattle in other fields which are available in the honesty shop. Definitely will be coming back soon at some point!

I want to first start by saying we absolutely loved our stay at the Lavender Mulino Pod. The views were amazing, the area was so peaceful and calming. The pod was so great, had every we needed, was warm, the on site facilities were fabulous too, an honest shop which provided essentials if you needed them. It also had a stash of local information. The arrival pack was spot on. The bathroom was spotless, even had a hairdryer! The shared kitchen was really useful! We had a fire pit one night, a bbq! Being honest I couldn’t fault anything! Will be back. Thank you Helen! It

After looking for somewhere to camp with my dog Sherlock for a couple of nights to escape the hustle and bustle of life I managed to stumble across Mulino Pods. I found Mulino Pods by shear chance when I typed Camping Derbyshire into the Instagram search for inspiration on where to stay. After I found a picture of the pods on Instagram, I was pretty much sold. I found a link which lead to the website, and although not technically camping I booked a 2 night stay in the Damson Pod which is dog friendly. This seemed too good to be true. A dog friendly pod, in the perfect location, for a great price, without the hassle of having to pitch up a tent? It was perfect. Upon arrival I was in awe of the amazing view from the pod of Carsington water as you looked at it from across the Derbyshire countryside. I was extremely impressed with the pod which housed a comfortable double bed with two chairs. Furnished with a kettle, toaster, currently, crockery (plastic), and a fridge big enough to store items for a few days or perhaps more. The deck had a lovely wooden table with and provided with the pod was a bbq and fire pit, although, owing to the British weather, I wasn’t able to use. There were two bathrooms which were relatively modern and clean. While I enjoyed my stay, there was a family of four in one of the other pods and I never found it difficult to use the bathroom for shower/ toilet, etc. there’s a little kitchen area provided with two gas hobs and facilities to wash up. There’s also a cosy information room with a little honesty shop to pay log burner packs. There was parking space enough for 2 cars for each pod. The owner of the pod was polite and accommodating with last minute changes. The only issue I had was that as expected, in the Derbyshire countryside, phone signal was a little rubbish, which I didn’t mind as it helped with escaping the realities of life and helped with avoiding social media. The Wi-Fi was good when in the info room or in the bathroom but pretty poor when in the pod. The only time this was an issue was at night when I like to set up my iPad and watch a film with my pooch. This however, didn’t affect the stay. Overall, this is a great place to stay and I will definitely be booking to stay again in the future. I have even recommended to a friend who is looking to book soon.

Mulino Pods is a small glamping site in a lovely remote area of the Derbyshire Dales overlooked by a farmhouse. I rented the entire site of 3 pods for a weekend family get-together. Although we didn't get ideal barbecue weather the site is well equipped enough that it wasn't really a big deal, which is exactly what you want when you go for glamping over camping. When it rained we all just huddled in the info room and ate there. The galley kitchen next door had everything you need to cook on a hob and every pod had its own supply of rapeseed oil for frying. It's ideal both for people who just want the quiet and solitude of the location or those who enjoy long walks, since it was a good hour + to the nearest pub! The communication from the hosts before we arrived on-site was excellent and everything was perfect when we arrived so there was no need to ask for anything anyway. The pods each had a little sign welcoming the guests (including the dogs) 😁 The radiators in the pods were surprisingly powerful, so it didn't take long for me to thaw out and go to sleep. We had a few little adventures like having to shoo some cows out of the road on the way to the pub (another farm, not Mulino Pods'!) and getting lost on the way back. We all had a fantastic time. Somebody in our party managed to forget a hat there and the owner was kind enough to offer to post it back to us. Couldn't recommend the site enough. It's so so peaceful and picturesque.

A friend booked all 3 pods for a hen weekend, we stayed in the bluebell pod. I can’t recommend them enough! The pods are the perfect size and spotlessly clean. You get a kettle, toaster & fridge in each pod, there is deck chairs & a fire pit. The beds are very comfy, the only suggestion I have for any improvement is being able to separate the beds for non couples. There is a communal area with the honesty shop that is stocked with a few basics. There is 2 bathrooms on site, which are a good size and very clean. Even though the site is pretty well lit I would recommend taking a torch (we just used our phones) Just a tip try to arrive before it goes dark, we were the last to arrive in our group and it wasn’t the easiest place to find in the dark, however google maps did take us to the exact spot. The views are amazing!!

I visited here with my 11-year-old son for the first May Day Bank Holiday weekend and had an amazing time. We stayed in Bluebell Pod. It was incredibly cosy and warm. We loved the BBQ and the fire pit and sat out every evening. The bathrooms were lovely and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The views were absolutely spectacular and it was glorious to wake up here each morning. It was so quiet with only the three pods on the site. The owners were lovely and friendly and were very helpful with directions to the local pub (Red Lion - about 45 mins walk - lovely pie!) and also with the names of garages when we had car trouble. We will definitely be back next year!

Loved these pods and our trip here… just can’t wait to go back! It was so lovely to enjoy the stunning views… breakfast in the sun and getting up early to watch the sunrise. The fire pit made it even more special. Also loved that we weren’t too far away from adventure- Carsington water is beautiful and a nice wonder around the shops in Bakewell and Ashbourne. The attention to detail, and cleanliness, of the pods and communal areas are exceptional. Recommended Mulino Pods so much- 5*

My daughter (aged 11) and I, and our dog, stayed at Damson pod for two nights in February. We loved it. It was the perfect mix of escapism and simple living, along with a few little luxuries (like a beautifully clean hot shower and a coffee machine!). The pod was completely private, had everything we needed, and the view was stunning. The outdoor kitchen was fun and my daughter liked visiting the honesty shop. Communication from the owners was great, and a small problem with the tap was fixed straight away. We walked across fields to the local village and visited Thorpe Cloud and Ashbourne during our stay. We definitely hope to return!
