We booked two rooms for Saturday night one for myself and wife and one for my son and daughter in law with their dog. On arrival we were advised if eating that night to reserve a table which was good advice. We walked around the reservoir taking in the views and arrived back to a nice clean and warm room,... More

I requested to go here for my birthday lunch with my husband as we'd been before and enjoyed it. It didn't disappoint this time either. We both had fish and chips, which was well presented and cooked. The plates are bigger or the portions are smaller either way there was sufficient. Service has improved massively. ..(we waited an hour last... More

This place can only be popular by dint of its location rather than its customer service. The young barman never cracked a smile for anyone he served and the person who brought us our sandwiches all but threw them onto the table before disappearing swiftly with barely a word exchanged. The food was fine and the beer good. It's over... More

Dear JS I am very disappointed our staff were not up to scratch on Saturday and apologise if your experience was not as good as we would want it to be. I will ensure that the staff involved will be given some extra coaching on customer service. Thank you for your feedback and if you ever do decide to visit... More

Superb place to start and finish walks with the warm atmosphere to return to from the top of the hills/moor/reservoir walk or up to the big dam wall. This venue was chosen as I had visited Lady Bower Reservoir one year with my parents many years ago when you could actually see the buildings in the bottom - not so... More

Visited this evening for a Sunday roast. Good location and good humble pub atmosphere but a poor Roast dinner. May have been acceptable for an £8.99 carvery .. but not for £12.95 .. Yorkshire pudding (like the rest of the meal) was a dry crusty lump. Maybe only good for a post walk pint.

Dear Martyn, I am very disappointed to read that our Sunday roast was not upto the standard i expect as it is usually the finest in the Hope Valley. Please let me know if you are in the area again and I will personally ensure that you do not leave disappointed. More

Only ate here so no room review. We ate here on the off chance on our journey home. There was plenty of room but the pub wasnt busy and felt a little cold. We remarked on being cold and then someone came and lit the fire which was lovely and once the pub was filling up felt very cosy. We... More

The pub was lovely and food fab. The rooms were okay but the beds were not very comfortable at all, mattresses was cheap and cheerful made for children not adults. It was quite noisy also with doors banging on our second night. That said we did get a good deal and breakfast was included.

The Ladybower Inn is an excellent location for exploring the Peak District. Easy to find with ample parking space. Well appointed rooms catering for couples and families. The bar has an excellent selection of ales and the menu is extensive. The meals were generous in proportion and the staff friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit !

Really great food after a walk around ladybower and Derment. The staff are good and friendly. Worth a visit for sure. The pub has a good menu with a great specials menu and it is reasonably priced with a good selection of drinks
