Lovely well kept site. The scenery is just wonderful and you feel right in the Peaks. The dog park is perfectly sized for a little dog and feels sheltered in the rain.

Very welcoming. Clean good sized toilet block and friendly campers. It’s a short walk into Castleton with its many pubs and little shops. Spoilt for choice!

Hope to be back again!

I stayed one night after a long walk. The wardens were pleasent and helpful. The site was clean and well set out. A short walk from pubs and shops. If you cook there was a herb garden you can use. All in all a lovely site.

Great site with large pitches, near to good walking and Castleton just a stones throw away in walking distance with a footpath. Just my personal opinion - wouldn’t eat from the fish and chip van on Fridays - possibly the worst, greasiest chips and smallest fish we have had in our 50 years on the planet! Go to one of the many pubs in Castleton!

Im not sure if this is A Camping and Motorhome Club thing or just this site but we have had the same issue twice staying at this site. We have a membership for 2 people and a van, booked to stay at Castleton for 3 visits (1 a month April, May, June) Our first visit i was told i had only booked a 1 night, 1 person stay. I showed my booking to the lady that stated Extras - 1 Adult, this was fine and we proceeded with our stay.

Second visit the same thing happened, again i showed my booking to the staff member (a different one this time) she said the Extra person was me, 1 person? This had me confused as how can i book a van on for the night without a person? I asked did each person staying have to be booked and paid for separately, the answer is yes, i have stayed on multiple sites across the UK and Ireland iv never had to book and pay for us separately. I had to pay an extra £10 for my husband.

The site itself is lovely and well maintained, its in a good location for Castleton and Hope. Facilities are all central and easy to find, very clean.

WiFi is poor and you only get an hour.
Check in is at 1pm and not a minute earlier. Check out is at 11am but the showers/toilets are out of use from 10am -11am? With only 1 All Inclusive bathroom available between these times.

We have since cancelled our June stay as i have been put off by staff/issues. I will be interested to see if the same thing applies at all CAMC sites.

Nice site but way too regimented. Wardens seemed to patrol and watch everyone what is going on Nice short walk into either Hope or Castleton . Wouldn't return here . Would recommend if you like to be overlooked and in rows .I understand that they have a job to do but relax a little bit... it would make campers feel more welcome. A few people said the same . Have a good year and stay safe .

Beautiful stay for 2 nights. We visit castleton every year as its a beautiful place and one of our favourites. This site is located in stunning surrounds, very clean with everything you need including a herb garden! Pitches have ample room. Only a 10/15 min walk into castleton itself.

Lovely clean site, with fabulous location. Easy to walk to castleton or Hope. Excellent pubs in the area many also serving lovely food. Great for walking with many walks in the area.
Pitches all nicely spaced out on what’s a very pretty site. Wardens friendly enough.

Had a few days away here in our motorhome. Great level pitch and lovely views. Facility's really nice and clean and covid safe.

Castleton a stones throw away with lovely dog walks on the way to Hope village.
Lots of shops in the village and nice pubs and shops to visit also.

This is an average club site. They all have the same formula.
All as you expect for the high cost per night. One criticism is that there was only one water and disposal point for motorhomes. As the access is one way it is not easy to use on you way out. Also only one set of recycling bins - at the entrance. Which is quite a walk from the top of the park. The up side is that it is close to castleton and its amenities

Back again this year same time as last, half term. Once again found the site to be excellent. The site is immaculately kept, with clean and tidy facilities. Again on a service pitch which afforded us lovely views of Mam Tor and Lose Hill. Would highly recommend.
