This is a very adorable hotel where we had a spacious room and a very comfortable bed. The restaurant in the main building is very cozy although the food is nothing to write home about. We enjoyed our stay with a few hang ups (no heat in our room in late March was a bit chilly although they did offer...

The pictures on all websites we have seen do not do hotel justice. We were in room 16 ,couldn't ask for better for one night stay. Great position in the village for walking in the Peak District. Cannot fault the hotel. Lovely staff and had a lovely breakfast. Would recommend.

Our daughter bought us a Virgin Experience for Christmas. It was an overnight stay with breakfast, at Vintage Inns. We decided to use it for my Husbands birthday, we looked and picked The Innkeepers Lodge at Caslteton in the Peak District. The room that was allocated to us was in the annexe, it was a very spacious room and a...

We spent one night at The Inkeepers Lodge in Castleton after another hotel overbooked and we had to find alternative acommodation and were very plesantly surprised, they only had the small double room left but it was plenty big enough for us and really well decorated and looked after. The staff were super pleasant and nice and it felt so...

This was a lovely hotel. Huge room, clean and amazing shower! Could have done with more windows and a bit more storage but the location was ideal and the breakfast was fantastic - everything you could want from a continental and the option of a cooked breakfast upgrade if you wanted, which we didn't. The staff were friendly and helpful...

Booked this as a birthday surprise for my other half. Thought it looked lovely and at £95/night for b&b I was expecting a few nice touches. Sadly felt a little let down: whilst the room was comfortable and clean, the heating didn't work (although staff kindly provided a heater); the bathroom didn't look like the pictures; very small window in...

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Castle. Having stayed twice before we knew what to expect. A friendly professional welcome in a traditional place. We stayed in room 4 which was lovely, very clean and spacious. The bathroom was modern but this didn't spoil the character of the actual bedroom. We ate at the Castle on the Friday...

Our two night stay was excellent. Delightful and charming Inn, good sized double bedroom with en-suite. Continental breakfast was excellent, and the cooked breakfast for those with big appetites looked delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. The Inn is situated in the centre of the village and an ideal place for walking or cycling.

Lively atmosphere in the pub, continental breakfast okay, full English looked delicious. Not a lot to do round Castleton however, always a drive out to do something we found. The room was gorgeous, best part of the weekend by far! Thanks for the stay!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you're looking for a hotel in the Peak District, Innkeeper's Lodge in Castleton occupies a magical spot in a beautiful corner of Derbyshire.Nestled amongst the hills of Hope Valley, and surrounded by stark limestone crags, wild moors, sheer rock edges and intriguing caves, it's clear to see why Castleton is known as the honey-pot of the Peak District.A coaching inn since the 1800s, The Castle is tucked underneath haunted Peveril Castle, from which it takes its name. Country pubs don't come much cosier. Here you can refuel with heart-warming pub-food, well-kept cask ales and well-chosen wines, before retiring to one of the comfy, characterful rooms. The Castle is close to four show caverns, where you can explore vaulted chambers, bottomless pits, gemstone mines and underground canals via boat. There's plenty more to see and do nearby, with some of the country's best footpaths winding through the stunning scenery of the Peak District National Park. ... more   less
