The absolute perfect place for our early anniversary weekend. We were in room 5 that had everything you could possibly need and the biggest, most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, me and the missus were almost in separate postcodes. But the best part about the place is undoubtedly Robbie and Claire. You're treated like royalty from the moment you book in. Get this place booked, you won't regret it

Our expectations were surpassed when we managed to take advantage of a last minute cancellation (not cool!) in room 5. It is a beautifully renovated room, which was naturally very cool in the heat (there is heating for the normal cold!). We were on our honeymoon so were kindly given a bottle of bubbly with rose petals, as well as being booked in for dinner at the lovely 1530 Italian restaurant. The continental breakfast was OK with us but we would like to come back when cooked brekkies are back on the menu. Robbie helpfully gave us tips on climbing Mam Tor and we felt like we were Claire's friends when chilling in their garden - we would love to come back to keep George entertained!

Shown to room by Robbie for our 4 night stay. We had room 5, on ground floor, own entrance to side of building. Large room with king bed, mini fridge with continental breakfast items in. Milk, orange juice and bottles of water and yoghurts in fridge. Cereals, fruit and mini bottles on wine on tray on top of fridge. To be honest would have preferred a hot breakfast as enjoy being pampered while on a short break. A comfortable stay in beautiful Castleton.

We had a wonderful time in Castleton and stayed at the Ramblers Rest Guest House. Claire & Robbie were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome & comfortable. The location is great, very accessible. The stream opposite is such a fine touch and a nice place for the kids to entertain themselves. We highly recommend it and will definitely go back!!!

Claire and Robbie were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They recommended the best pubs with outside areas to visit (as it was a glorious day) and even gave me a card and gift as it was my birthday. Rooms were cosy, clean and comfortable and all at a great price too. Would highly recommend a stay here and it is central for those all important walks in the hills. Thank you Claire & Robbie for a wonderful stay, I am sure we will be back again soon. x
