My girlfriend and I came here for a weekend stay and couldn't have been more pleased with the set up. There are plenty of places nearby for walking and cycling and the centre of Glossop is just a short drive away. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and we were even baked fresh bread! The rooms were... More

The rooms were of a high standard, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, we could make hot drinks with our own facilities whenever we wanted. In addition it's an interesting place to stay with top quality handmade hard wood carving and furniture. Excellent breakfast. You can do interesting walks from the front door too.

Stunning views, quaint cottage and perfect location. The cottage had everything we needed and the owner was really helpful. She offered us her bikes to use, made us fresh bread and cake. The cottage is across from a reservoir which was lovely. The village is a short walk away and a taxi from the village is around £4 from the... More

My girlfriend and I loved our stay here, we spent the night in The Smithy its a perfect retreat for a couple very cozy with all the amenities you require for a very comfortable stay. We arrived at the cottage late afternoon. It was difficult to find - we passed it a couple of times. Although the owner wasn't there when we arrived we were shown around by her son who lives next door. We were even asked to the Christmas do that was taking place in the workshop next to the cottages. We didn't... More

Our stay here was absolutely perfect!! We stayed in The Smithy - Julie's little cottage that is just outside the main house, and it was absolutely wonderful. Everything was impeccable - it was beautifully decorated, perfectly clean, and so homely and cosy that I wanted to move in permanently! The cottage had its own little kitchen area, bathroom, lounge area... More

Stayed here for one night whilst on a business trip to Stockport. A very warm welcome from the hostess, Julie. Just lovely accommodation. Beautiful room with the most exquisite woodwork I have ever seen. I will certainly be back if I have business in the area again and hope to bring the family for a trip sometime to this great... We stayed with Julie in her delightful cottage just N of Glossop and once again had a marvellous visit. She is so warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive, greeting us and asking us into her lounge for tea and home-made cake, which was gorgeous. We stayed in the double room with it's own lounge/kitchenette on the GF just... More

Our stay at Julie's wonderful home couldn't have been more perfect. Nestled into the hills of the Peaks, the views in the morning of the mist hovering lightly above the green of the hills were breathtaking. Having never visited Glossop I wasn't disappointed. My friends and I wanted to escape the city and Julie made sure that we had exactly... More

We felt truly pampered at Allman's Heath Cottage. The views over to the Dark Peak are spectacular and you feel like you've found a friendly little spot of outdoor living. The rooms are beautiful with gorgeous wooden furniture, doors and stone work done by the family businesses. Everything you would expect from a high class B&B with big fluffy beds,... More
