Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked this property as we were attending a wedding nearby. I called Hazel the owner in advance to explain we needed to add your 10 year old son to the reservation as we were let down by our baby sitter. This was no problem for Hazel and i thank her very much for this. When we arrived we were greated by Hazel and shown to our room. What a lovely room we had with a King size bed and the most beautiful view across her garden to the orchards and then over to the estuary. We had a lovely quiet nights sleep. As we woke and went down stairs to the most fantastic breakfast. Thanks Hazel for looking after us and Nigel our son would like to thank you for letting him feed your fish. I am sure we will be back again.

We stayed at this house for a wedding.. we were meant to be booked in for 4pm, but got an email saying they were stuck in a traffic jam and wouldn't be back till 5..so we ended up sitting on a bench for an hour and half waiting for someone to arrive and book us in. We weren't very impressed.. Saying this Hazel was a very nice host and made us feel very welcome, she couldn't do enough for us. Our breakfast was amazing and we had more than enough to eat. Very good quality food. We couldn't park on the drive because there were no spaces left so we ended up down the road.. parking was difficult. We stayed in the dorma bedroom that was very warm we left our windows open all the time, but it was hard to sleep and really needed a fan in the room. Plus there was no mirror in the bedroom apart from a little round shaving mirror. So I struggled doing my hair and makeup. Not impressed 😭.

My son and daughter-in-law had a very comfortable stay over the Christmas period. We are so grateful to Hazel opening up to accommodate them for this special family time as it was their first Christmas back in the UK for 6 years. Thank you for enabling us to all be together. They found Field View to be very comfortable and would definitely recommend. We will hopefully use this B&B again in the future.

B&B Field View is located in a quiet street, offering an undisturbed night rest. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. I could park my hired car safely in the driveway of the establishment. The room was clean, cosy and well equipped. I shared a bathroom with other guests but this went fine. English breakfast was tasteful and plentiful. Standing out to me were the kindness and genuine hospitality of the hostess. I was warmly welcomed upon arrival and treated like family during my stay. You can tell she really wants guests to have a good time. I therefore warmly recommend B&B Field View and will certainly book again if ever I return to this part of England.

Nice twin room that over looks the garden, orchard and great views of the river in the distance. The room was very spacious and clean. Plenty of parking either on the drive or the road outside the house. Nice full English breakfast freshly cooked served by the friendly owner. Nice Indian restaurant just up the road.

This is a family run guest house at Higham, close to Rochester in North Kent. The rooms are fresh, clean and sensibly priced with a hearty breakfast included. A bonus is the sensational views of rolling Kent fields from the bedrooms and patio, and hosts Hazel and Sean are always welcoming. Highly recommended.

The beautiful weather probably helped, but Field View was one of the best stays I had during a solo trip. Hazel was more than kind, as well as willing to chat with me about the area and its history. The room was very comfortable, and the view could not be improved on.
