This is factually incorrect. No one was turned away from our property. Of course we allow and welcome guide dogs for as you quite rightly say it is illegal. There may be some misunderstanding as we don’t allow dogs / pets inside our premises but are welcomed outside in our gardens. It is completely incorrect to say we don’t welcome guests with disabilities as we have welcomed numerous guests with a variety of disabilities and this will continue. Please stop using social media to attack our business with incorrect information.

Really couldn’t fault this place at all. The hosts went above and beyond to cater to us. We stayed the night before visiting donington park for a track day, due to this we arrived later evening, and were met by very welcoming staff. Beds were comfy and the room was clean, could hear the planes but this didn’t cause any issues at all. We asked if we could have breakfast a little bit early due to needing to be at the track at around 8:30, and this was met with no issues at all. Breakfast was gorgeous, served hot and set is up for a lovely day.

Stayed at the MVH for two nights for a family wedding. Faultless from start to finish. Lovely rooms and comfortable beds, Superb venue for a wedding, and the staff were lovely. Lovely breakfast and everything clean and tidy and spotlessly clean. Cannot rate this place high enough, definitely would stay again.

Steve and Trudy organised a fantastic birthday party for my husband. They went above and beyond to ensure that all the guests and us had a great time. We stopped here overnight before flying from East Midlands Airport. Everything was absolutely spot on from the moment we checked in, until the time we checked out. The views across the countryside are stunning. With it being close to the airport, you expect a little noise as its on the flightpath BUT after a few have gone over, you don't really notice . The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable, only 1 TINY moan, the 1 we had, had a sloped ceiling, so you could bump your head if not careful . The breakfast was amazing and the staff made it better by cooking what you wanted. By that I mean one of my daughters is extremely fussy and wanted eggs, she asked how they did them and was told straight away " however you want them" and not just "boiled, fried etc". Myself and husband got married on 3rd September at Melbourne View Hotel and can honestly say we had the best day/evening we could of hoped for. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat if we could. We booked our wedding in 2018 and after amending our day twice due to Covid, Trudy couldn’t of been anymore helpful thought out the 4 years if she tried. Quickly answering any questions we had before the day as things obviously changed. Finally to the day, Trudy ensured everything was going to plan by checking in with the bride (myself). This put me at ease that everything was in hand, she came to collect me, as promised to lead me to the ceremony room, not forgetting to make sure my flower girls knew what they needed to do and giving them clear instructions, which they thankfully followed 😁. From then on, our ceremony room was how we imagined it would be, canapés guest had eaten were perfect and were loved. We had a hog roast and danced the night away with pub priced drinks that guests loved. Finally resting our heads after a wonderful day and woken at 8:30am to the smell of bacon which was the morning breakfast, which was included in the room, being prepared for ourselves and the guests, this was professionally cooked and excellently delivered to our table, this was a lovely ending to our fantastic day. Very nervous how this would go It was so cheap for the whole day compared to the bigger hotels The package they offered was amazing Can’t fault anything!! And the food was amazing. Hog roast for supper at night was WOW. THE ROOMS ARE LOVELY. Very comfy and look over the grounds towards breedon hill. Everything was very organised- the day was beautiful and casual just like the very happy couple wanted. Perfect. Perfect setting. Perfect decoration and normal priced bar. Recommend??? Of course!!!

Myself and my husband got married at the Melbourne View Hotel in July 2022. Having gone to see the venue 2 years prior and meeting with venue owner, Trudy, we were blown away as soon as we arrived. The hotel is set in beautiful countryside, with lovely grounds that make the perfect setting for photos. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Trudy and her team. Trudy communicated promptly and effectively with us to make sure all the details were confirmed in good time to make the experience as stress-free as possible! We had so many questions about our big day and her experience and knowledge shone through as she supported us. In terms of the special day itself, we and our guests had a fantastic time! The venue staff were polite and helpful, the day ran super smoothly and Trudy kept in contact with myself throughout the entire day. We had numerous positive comments from guests who were so impressed with the venue, how everything you need is all in one place with the option to go outside and enjoy the countryside, or sit inside the open spacious function room or bar area. The hotel rooms were spot on with breakfast included for the next morning too. The hot buffet and BBQ was great, and there was a variety of drink options to cater for all tastes. Just writing this off the back of my daughters wedding weekend which went really smoothly and was so enjoyable. Most of the wedding party stayed at the venue at least one night, and the quality of the rooms is high. The venue caters for indoor or outdoor weddings, we were so fortunate with weather and the outdoor setting against the backdrop of the countryside made for exceptional photographs right there. The function suite indoors was beautifully set up, the bride was given lots of flexibility in the arrangements and it provided an intimate venue for our special celebration. The bar stocks a good selection of drinks at quite reasonable prices. Thanks to Trudy and team for your attentiveness and service on the day. I’d highly recommended this venue for a wedding.

The venue was beyond amazing, out guests were nothing but impressed by the venue and the staff. The food was amazing , drinks prices were so reasonable … (always an important part!!) people were so impressed they didn’t have to pay over the odds for their alcohol. the attentiveness of the staff was 100% all day. Every stress I had about a band we booked Trudy was reassuring and kept me calm! The layout was amazing .. all I did was put the place card names out and a few sweets , everything else was just perfect. The phone calls and messages about the day have been so complimentary. Myself and my husband can not praise this venue enough. It was all we planned and more. Trudy looked after myself and the bridal party all day, took care of all our questions leading up to the big day. The setting outside was just beautiful 😍 even the breakfast the following morning was laid out beautifully. We are just still on cloud nine as it was just all we wished for and more. I would tell anyone to book this venue for their wedding. The rooms we stayed in were beautiful, I can’t do the Melbourne View justice with this review. Definitely more than five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ The afternoon tea was perfect for a hot summers day and the BBQ was just fantastic in the evening x Trudy was a truly brilliant host, nothing was too much trouble and her advice for what to include for the day was spot on.
