I stayed here for one night on a very long walk - from Land's End up to Edinburgh. I had had a hard day behind me and was tired, hungry and in need of an unwind. I also needed to prepare myself for yet another day's walking on the day after. What a marvellous reception I got from Chris and...

Warm welcome, delicious breakfast, comfortable room and lots of attention to detail - great location with a 5 minute walk to local pubs and restaurants - and do visit the star disc at the top of the hill !!

The B&B is lovely: very comfortable beds, delicious breakfasts, scrupulously clean bathrooms (not ensuite in our two rooms, but two bathrooms on the same floor for our use), interesting and interested hosts, no restrictions on times in/out, and - for me - a great massage with Chris.

Had a lovely two night stay with Chris and Denise in their excellent B&B. A warm welcome awaited on arrival and we spent two very comfortable nights, with a hearty Full English breakfast (with local produce) on both mornings. We stayed for 2 nights with our little dog. Chris and Denise were great, very welcoming and relaxed. They are full of local knowledge and clearly love running a B&B. Our room was a good size, very clean, tidy and homely, and the breakfasts were great too. We would definitely stay again.

A very welcoming B&B in an amazing Derbyshire setting, beautiful surroundings, shops, markets and 18th century architecture. Denise & Chris were extremely accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, and the facilities they offer are exemplary, very comfortable and cosy. Absolute 5 stars from us, can't wait to return........

We had a lovely stay at Number 37. We had had difficulty finding a B&B which would allow our toddler to come with us and although there was no cot provided, we were welcome to stay there if he slept in with us. We enjoyed the informal, friendly atmosphere and our son loved the cat!
