We stayed in Badger Cottage at the start of September and had an amazing holiday. The house is beautiful and I cannot think of anything which it lacked. On arrival it was immaculate and the lovely hamper left for us was a real treat. There were 7 of us including 2 young children and we opted to take the optional annexe as well. As grandparents that allowed us to have our own quiet time. The house included travel cot, changing mat, blackout curtains, etc which was a real bonus, We’d our own private garden and patio which was very much welcome as the weather was really hot. The playground was a favourite place for the children, with swings, slide and a large trampoline. There’s a large area to play ball games and a separate tennis court. The pool is large and was warm enough for our 1 year old. Due to current situation each cottage had an allotted time each day. We can’t but thank the owners Amanda and John for all their care and attention in the properties. We will certainly return.

We have just returned home after our second stay at Old Oak Cottages. It is a perfect place to stay for a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. Our cottage this year was “Wren” a one bedroom cottage for 2 people which was very comfortably furnished, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. There was a very generous welcome basket which was much appreciated and in these Covid times each cottage on the site had a one hour slot each day of sole occupancy of the beautiful indoor heated swimming pool which we enjoyed very much. We would not hesitate to recommend Old Oak Cottages for a super holiday and plan another stay ourselves in the future. Thank you Amanda and John for creating a beautiful environment for stays on your farm in an area with lots of interesting places to visit.

This is a beautiful, small complex of 8 cottages set in the middle of nowhere.....owned and run by a lovely family Our cottages was Wren...for 2 people....plenty of space and it had everything you need...even a barbecue outside. We had our own courtyard garden and daily visits from the hens. The parking is excellent....and the heated indoor pool is fantastic....because of Covid you now have daily slots where you have the pool all to yourself. This wss our first visit to Oak Cottages but we will definitely be back....fantastic.

We stayed for a week in Beaver cottages, whilst our family members stayed in a couple of the smaller one bedroom cottages. They were all perfect. Super clean, came with everything you could possibly want for a family with a toddler and we noticed so much for babies too. Beaver cottage had: - blackout blind - portable cot - a baby monitor - changing mat - stair gates! We made good use of the stair gate as it just made us feel better about our toddler running about upstairs. As well as a wonderfully stocked kitchen, and beautiful welcome basket we found the open plan living room, dining room and kitchen a fantastic space to have family dinners. During the days, even though the weather was a bit up and down, we found plenty to do in and around the area. A couple of theme parks, plenty of English Heritage sites and wonderful pubs nearby. The cottages also have a wonderful little park complete with trampoline, swings and slides. As there were no other children whilst we were there we pretty much got it to ourselves. Finally the best bit, was the swimming pool. A huge heated pool with time slots so that you got it to yourself was a fantastic treat that made it feel like a proper holiday. I can’t rate these cottages enough. If you’re lucky enough to get some availability, book it!!
