Courtlands Nurseries offers spacious ground floor rooms set in two acres of walled kitchen garden and nursery in the heart of the peaceful Sussex countryside. Ashdown Forest, the Bluebell railway and numerous National Trust properties are very nearby. We are enthusiastic gardeners, virtually self-sufficient in vegetables and fruit with free range chickens, bees contributing to a healthy breakfast.

Looking for somewhere inexpensive I found this B&B. When I arrived I wasn't sure I'd arrived at the right place but I needn't have worried.
The room was spacious and well appointed and I appreciated a sitting area as well as the bed.
There's a fridge and a good hospitality tray so you could probably bring food in. If you venture out, The Cat Inn is very nice but will probably cost you more than your room!
In the morning there is a very nice breakfast and if you're lucky with the weather, you can have this in the sunshine on the patio.
Whichever room you choose, the occupants of the other room will at some point be walking past your windows, not a problem but you need to be aware!

What a great find! Fantastic host. Superb room with excellent facilities including fresh milk for my tea. Cleanliness and comfort were 11/10. Finshed off with a great freshly cooked breakfast of local home grown produce. This is somewhere I would definitely recommend..Thank you!

Wonderfully fantastic peaceful stay at Courtland Nurseries, the breakfast is delicious and the hosts are friendly, warm welcome by all including a very cute Jack Russell. Highly recommended B n B for a quiet get-away to scenic Sussex. Lui.

Very friendly husband and wife team. Very spacious, clean room and beautiful location. The breakfast was fabulous and nothing seemed to much trouble. Not tasted eggs as tasty as theirs for many a year. Highly recommended.

Just spent 2 nights at Courtlands, was everything we needed.
lovely big room, strait out on to the garden.
Very nice breakfast in the conservatory.
Wish we could have stayed longer.
Had excellent dinner both evenings in the Cat Inn, a few miles down the road. Fruit and Veg supplied by Courtlands .
Our aim was to visit National Trust houses in the area which we did.
Will certainly return and we thank Lindsey for a wonderful stay.

Just spent 2 nights at courtlands nurseries in the family room. There was plenty of space to have our little one asleep in the travel cot and to be able to watch tv without the light from it waking her up. Easy to access from patio doors that give access to the wonderful garden complete with ground level trampoline that our little one (and I) loved! The breakfast was very tasty and not too filling and Lindsey was excellent company both mornings. We enjoyed a stroll in the grounds on our first evening, marvelling at the fruit and veg growing and the chickens too. Facilities in the room were very good with free wifi, and an ensuite with a no step shower. We were even given a great recommendation for a light evening meal in Forest Row. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Courtlands Nurseries. A very good and spacious family room, and a great breakfast with eggs, fruit and veg from Lindsey and Derek's own gardens. It's fairly close to some great family attractions as well, like the Bluebell Railway. The gardens, greenhouses and polytunnels are an inspiration for any gardeners. We've come home with lessons and ideas on how to improve our own garden as well.

This is a working Nursery located just south of East Grinstead off the A22 , close to the Bluebell Railway and many National Trust properties. The family room, has a double and single bed with a lounge area, ensuite, is a modern wing of Lindsey and Derek's bungalow. Hot drink making facilities, tv, and Wifi. Lovely garden surrounds the property, very peaceful and a good nights sleep. Parking space available. We were made very welcome by them both, and an excellent cooked breakfast taken in the sun room just off the kitchen. Plenty of information provided as to local attractions, local evening pubs etc, try The Cat about two miles away in West Hoathly.
Would recommend Courtlands very easily for a relaxing stay.
