We loved staying here and we really appreciated the dog friendly room. The view of the ocean from our balcony was breath taking. The pizza is amazing! There is a hot tub and the rooms have little gas burning stoves that make a romantic setting.

We stayed in a deluxe suite that had sensational views of the ocean and surrounding areas as well as an in room sauna(!) and a soaking tub. Staff was nice and hotel has one of the few restaurants in the area

My boy hiked the Lost Coast Trail, and ended his adventure here in Shelter Cove - one of the most quirky little villages we've ever visited. The staff was very friendly and helpful over the phone, and even went out of their way to let my boy into the room prior to our arrival, for a much needed shower. Very...

After camping we decided to treat ourselves to Views, Balcony and Hot Tub and Inn of the Lost Coast did not disappoint. We stayed for 4 nights in room 8 suite and it was perfect. Although we did not need Housekeeping they were kind and offered new towels if we wanted them. A big nod also goes to the the...

If you want great ocean views and seclusion, peace and nature in a remote area this is a great spot. The beaches are amazing to walk on and photograph. It is beautiful without question. But, there are very limited services, it is a wicked drive to get to and can be very foggy. The room was nice while not being...

We recently stayed in the second floor corner suite for 2 nights and it was awesome. The only thing that would have made it better would be screens on the windows to keep out bugs. We loved the room but found it was quite stuffy and would have loved to be able to listen to the ocean without having to...

My husband and I stayed here in July while taking a two week California trip along the coast. We were going to see the Avenue of the Giants and decided to head to the Inn of the lost Coast while checking out the Redwoods. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. We had a room with...

As you will have read from other reviews, yes it is a pretty windy road down to the Cove but not so bad if you take it steady and the views at the end are great ...you feel like you have found a little bit of wilderness. The Inn is really nice and the room views are fantastic. Lauren, who...

Shelter Cove is very isolated so innkeepers know they have you over a barrel and hike rates sky high in the summer. Good for them; this is their busy time of year and they need to make a go of it. But traveler beware. If you arrive as we did, late in the day, you are going to pay a...

This hotel is situated on a cliff above some of the most beautiful California coastline. The rooms are large and comfortable with a sitting area and kitchenette. The view is out of this world. We arrived on a cool and cloudy day but we threw the balcony doors open as soon as we arrived so we could enjoy the sound...
