We stayed four nights. The cabin and the area greatly exceeded our expectations. This was by far our most enjoyable stay of our two week holiday. We bird watched in the National Parks in the morning and then in the afternoon the local wildlife visited us in the grounds below the cabin. Set up your camera overlooking the water and... More

This lovely small cabin set among the trees is the perfect getaway for birders or nature lovers. Located next to the owner's house but well screened from it, you have everything you need for a nature getaway. The small kitchen is surprisingly well stocked, even containing cling wrap for sealing up old food and real coffee for the plunger provided... More

The love and care shines through in every small detail Christina and Thomas provided in the cabin. More than just renting a cabin the local knowledge provided improved our whole holiday experience. A lovely place from where you can explore the pretty town of Kuranda and all it's walks.

We had a great stay in this beautiful little cabin. The hosts were friendly but left us to relax, the cabin itself is delightful but the scenery was the best part of this experience. We saw many different kinds of bird and frogs and went for relaxing walks out the back of the property.

Wonderful place to stay for bird watchers/ photographers, or romantic getaways. Bowl of local, tropical fruit waiting on the table. Private, modern self-contained studio-style cabin on stumps with deck surrounded by trees and wildlife only minutes from Kuranda. Approx. 1/2 hour from Cairns airport. Quiet location only the sound of the wildlife.Great wildlife photo opportunities. Very helpful host with amazing... More

It has been a while since we stayed there but we absolutely loved it. Such friendly hosts and great accommodation - there is nothing that you'll miss. The cabin and property is surrounded by nature and if you love birds you will see a lot of them and many other animals. The Cabin is close to Cairns but then not... More

Christina & Thomas has a haven of peace that I have never before experienced, but hope to again. The cabin is very clean and very well appointed with all that one would need. A cooker inside and a cooker underside, underside for the smelly bacon which I use as a base for many dishes. As a photographer and a human... More

Peace and tranquility, nature, beautiful surroundings. Checked out if this was gay friendly and we received a lovely positive reply which was a great start. Impeccably clean and with lots of information on the local area plus wider Cairns. All sorts of books including nature, birds etc. Fond memories of sitting on the balcony for breakfast and in the evening... More

We stayed at this beautiful little cabin set on stilts in the forest at the start of our trip up north and couldn’t believe our luck on arrival. It felt just so private and serene, with birds chirping all around us. The cabin is very cosy and simple with a queen bed, kitchenette, bathroom and a balcony – but it... More
