Very basic accommodation. Needed a good clean, from sitting in the lounge chair could see dominos under the TV cabinet, when looked behind the cabinet there were more dominos, a container of in house milk and 12 months of dust. I pulled out the cabinet so the cleaner could see the mess. At the least I would expect a clean... More

We stayed in Apartment number 44 on the 7th floor for the Aussies last week and compared to what our team mates were getting in the neighbouring hotels, we reckon we came out on top. We checked in with Sandy at the front desk and she was very friendly and helpful explaining where everything was and recommended a couple of... More

I stayed here for two nights. The block comprises roomy, two bedroom apartments with fans (no air con but not a problem). The outdoor balcony overlooks the well kept and green gardens which surround a large pool and family BBQ area. The apartment is clean but they should ditch the carpet in the bedrooms because it smells full of dust... More

This was a well priced place and perfect location for us. We could walk to either the beach or the river (when the surf was too big) and there was a heated pool downstairs. Excellent undercover parking that might be stretched in peak season. We had a 3 bedroom apartment that has views of ocean, all had aircon (not available... More

Great family holiday. Close to everything including food (were pleased we were told about the $5 meals across the road), coffee, beach, river and playground. We had an ocean view room which was amazing and had plenty of space for us and our two kids. The undercover parking and large pool was a big bonus - kids (and hubby) loved... More

Very rude manager to guests, who appears to do very little work as other staff appear to do the cleaning of the building and common areas and females were always in the office. Building was fine as was the pool and views. Would be a muchly improved holiday if you could checkin online and checkout the same way to avoid the... More

As we approached the Maroochy sands our hearts sank. The 1st thing you notice are the bars , everywhere ! Once we checked in we immediately set about looking for alternative accomodation , however everywhere was fully booked. We hadn't initially booked to stay here , our original booking was or the Kalua, who had double booked us and arranged... More

Thank you for your review of Maroochy Sands. It’s surprising to hear that you didn’t like the decorative metalwork on the outside of our building. After a recent upgrade, the building won a Regional Citation Award in the Sunshine Coast Architectural Awards for best upgrade and we’ve had many compliments about the look of the building and visits from many... Recently my wife and I travelled to Maroochydore to visit some old friends who had just bought an apartment at the Maroochy Sands apartments. Nice complex, wonderful views close to the beach and a good pool area…BUT !! No parking for guests Our friends informed the manager that we were coming and asked if we could use the Sands visitor... Thank you for your review. Apologies for the delay in replying as we only received notification about it now. Yes, unfortunately the Body Corp and Committee who govern this building have ruled that there is a strict "one car per unit" policy and as we work under their strict governance we must enforce these at risk of being breached (which... What more could you ask for? Great location, clean, comfortable and perfect for a family weekend getaway. My advice - pay the extra $ to stay up high and take in views of the ocean, hinterland and pool! Can't wait to come back!

Great location... Beach/park 2mins across rd and everything you want to eat around the area. Excellent views and good size balcony. Pool is beautiful and very clean - great for kids. We are sorry to hear that you had to put up with cigarette smoke during your stay - if you experience this in the future please come and tell us so we can insist this can be stopped. When choosing to stay in budget priced accommodation one must expect that the furniture and fittings are older and worn, however at... More
