    Our stay in Mission Beach was very last minute, as flooding prevented us from reaching our intended destination. Nonetheless, Ina at the Beach Shack was able to provide us with a private double room for 4 nights. The Beach Shack is a hostel set in a really big house, and it does have the feel of just being a house....

    Very nice 'family feel' in the huge mansion of a house. However, the 4 of us that stayed there found the staff a little too 'High maintenance" (E.g. video camera in the kitchen which monitored the washing up). Having always kept on top of my washing up throughout my travels, I found it rather annoying when one of the owners...

    I stayed at the Beach Shack earlier this year for over two weeks. Everyone became like a family and it was very hard to leave. The Shack features a huge kitchen that opens onto a patio and the pool, which is surrounded by rainforest plants and a waterfall. There's a free shuttle to and from town, which you can also...
