Castaways Mission Beach exceeded my expectations. It was true resort with an open restaurant overlooking the beach and two lovely pools. The staff were great. Very professional but also friendly so you felt very comfortable. We had a beachfront resort room with a balcony that looked over the beach. It had two queen size beds. The food was great at...

We dropped in for a drink & something sweet to eat on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Staff were slow to serve, maybe end the of shift. Waited a long time for dessert to arrive, half way through coffee. Location fantastic and resort looks great.

It had been a long time between visits to Castaways Resort, but with our wedding anniversary coming up, and it being one of the first places my wife and I had gone away together it seemed like a good opportunity to revisit Mission Beach. And whilst Mission Beach has not changed greatly over the years, and still a fantastic place...

Stayed in the rainforest rooms. Musty smell when you enter the room, toilet seat kept falling off, exhaust fan sounded like a jet engine, pillows like rocks, breakfast was included but very average...even ran out of coffee. Stairs and balcony to room were rusty and mouldy. Had a drink in the restaurant which took so long to get to me...

Stayed here for two nights on the way to Townsville from Cairns. From the second we checked in to the hotel to the second we left we had nothing but amazing service from all the staff! Everyone was so helpful and polite. The hotel sits right on the beach in front of the stinger net perfect for a nervous Sydney...

The breakfast each day had great variety and the atmosphere and view in the restaurant was lovely. We had dinner at the restaurant too and the food was top notch! The rooms are nice and roomy, beds comfy and the views are...

Stayed here for one night, clean and comfortable, could have done with more than one sheet on the bed though, huge bathroom, basic bedrooms but what a great view of the beach. Not much to do in the area, found a nice pub nearby for food and a drink. Can't say much more about the place, can only base it...

My wife and 12 year old daughter and I stayed at Castaways for 4 days. It was perfect to relax and recharge. Friendly staff, and a great bar and restaurant area with a wide and interesting menu including vegetarian. The included breakfast each day was lovely too. The uninterupted, except by palms, view of the beach speaks for itself. We...

Recently stayed for two nights for a family wedding. Had two small children with us. We loved our stay! Rooms were perfect for our needs with a sensational beach view. All the staff we spoke to were incredibly friendly and helpful. Pool was great as was the complimentary breakfast. Only slight downfall which could happen anywhere was the lift breaking....
