Booked a 3 night stay here with a friend in a twin room which also included a free 6 hour flight over Lake Eyre all inclusive for $2670pp. This was an extravagant spend for me but the flight has always been on my bucket list and considering that all meals, drinks and excursions were included, seemed it might be worth... What a treat our 3 night visit was! From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed and looked after beautifully. The helpful staff, the delicious meals and great wines plus stunning surrounds and abundant wildlife made a perfect package! We can't thank Brendan enough for his nothing is too much trouble attitude and his fantastic knowledge of... More

This is a truely breathtaking example of eco-tourism. A former sheep station that's being transitioned back from the damaging European sheep farming practices to its original state where soft footed indigenous animals roam. We enjoyed two superb nights at the Station and completed the famous 3 day Arkaba Walk. The whole experience was bush luxury at its best. Brendan, Meagan,... More

My wife and I went there for our 20th anniversary to enjoy walking around the spectacular Wilpena Pound and Elder Range. From the moment of entering the property, you are welcomed and cared for. The staff are amazing. They think of everything and nothing is too much trouble. The walk is spectacular. Each day is through different terrain and vegetation.... More

I was pleasantly surprised with this stay. Reading the available literature about the place I was not expecting to see so much wildlife. I saw more kangaroos in Arkaba than anywhere else in Australia. We stayed in a little cottage tastefully decorated and a few steps from our outdoor dinner table. The staff was fantastic. The safaris well worth it.... More

The staff were amazing! Our guide on the three day walk was knowledgeable, friendly, capable and interesting. The walks were tough, but that was mainly because we were unfortunate enough to have temperatures in the mid to high 30s. The food (and wine) were of a high standard - both at the homestead and on the walks. Attention to detail... More

My husband and I took the hike in late August. It was one of the highlights of a lifetime of hiking. If you love hiking but enjoy your creature comforts, Arkaba offers the opportunity of a lifetime. Here's a nuts and bolts perspective. The level of effort: moderate. We covered 12 to 16 kilometers each day, spread out over a... More

My wife and I just had the privilege of undertaking the 3 day Arkaba walk with a night at the historic Homestead on either side. Our hosts and our guides went out of their way to ensure we had a superb experience throughout-food, wine, accommodation (in camp and at the Homestead), jaw dropping scenery, history, unique and ancient geology and... My husband and I did the 3 day Arkaba Walk in early August. We were the only two booked for that period. We stayed at the Lodge both before and after the walk. This was a good time with spring flowers starting to make an appearance and birds starting to mate, but a couple of weeks later would probably be... More

Thank you for what must be the most detailed review we have ever had on Trip Advisor and my apology for the delay in responding.
