Carole and Tom and their spaniel Marley open their hearts and their home to you in this warm, friendly B & B. The home has been lovingly restored and maintained. We were there for a weekend getaway for our second anniversary. The pampering and attention to detail was amazing, including little things like a small, framed note on the hearth...

Carole and Tom are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. Having a perfect B&B is just a plus. They only have 3 rooms, so if you are interested book ASAP (but not when we return) LOL. We stayed in Jenny's retreat, everything was comfortable and very clean. Our room had the original 1861 wood plank floors, so...

Fantastic room, gourmet breakfast, reasonable price, love the dogs, country wooded grounds, mature trees, historical buildings on property. Tom and Carole were most accommodating. I will come again. Visit the Cinn nature center in next town over. It has greeting walking trails, wildlife, and training boards for kids.

In our short visit of 1 night, we were quite pleased with our choice of the 1861 Inn in Batavia. We were headed to the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY, and then back to the Cinci area overnight. I found this gem on Bed and Breakfast.com - and so glad I did!! The Innkeepers, Tom and Carole, are just wonderful....

I had a choice between another boring night at a Courtyard or HYATT Place. Instead, I tried this little B&B. What a great choice! Carole and Tom are wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool and setting is a million times more relaxing than another business hotel. Tom brought beer out as I worked by the pool. Had...

I loves this place so much that I downloaded the trip advisor app JUST TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. You can't do better than Carole and Tom. After you meet them, you feel like you've known them forever. They're friendly, welcoming, accommodating and genuinely care about their guests. You feel like you're with family. Carole is an amazing chef who whips...

I stumbled upon this B&B when booking a nearly 2 week business trip in Batavia, OH -- just outside Cincinnati. I was a little concerned about how I would like staying there . . . especially for business. Those concerns were quickly alleviated when I arrived and met my hosts . . . Tom and Carole are absolutely wonderful! They...

I am a pretty picky traveler and it takes a lot to impress me. From the moment we approached the Inn’s sign on the side of the road, to the picturesque ride up the drive to the main home, to the stunning grounds, painstakingly cared for and meticulously decorated home, unmatched service from Tom and Carole, and the lengths to...

My husband and I stayed at 1861 B & B for our 20th wedding anniversary. Upon arriving we were offered wine & beer which was lovely. We booked Jenny's Retreat room for our stay. Jenny's Retreat is gorgeous! The original pine floors are still in the room. There's a private screened porch that overlooks the fabulously inviting pool & hot...

First off, let me say that this is a relatively small bed and breakfast, they only have 3 rooms. Our room was very clean, and attractively decorated and put together. The TV was a little small. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay, but there were several quirky aspects that may turn people on or off based on their specific tastes:...
