We have just spent 10 lovely relaxing days at these apparments Stevros and his family make you feel welcome and are a really lovely family . To us the apparments are probably more suited to couple or a family of 3 or with small children anything else and it's a squeeze . The apparments are cleaned regularly and are of a good standard a modern bathroom and a double bed which is very unusual 😀 they are about a 15-20 min walk to the restaurants and bars or a 5 min taxi ride of which Stavros will sort out for you 😀 All in all we had a great time and will definitely going back next yr 😀

Fabulous little place. Big enough to feel busy when full but small enough to not overwhelm. 10 to 15 minute easy walk to the sea front and main drag, 20 or so to the main road for shops, supermarkets etc! Our room is clean, best bathroom in Greece I've experienced to be honest! Nice sized double bedroom with aircon and tv (TV only gets bbc world news!), fab little kitchen area which also has a small single bed in too. No issue for us as we are just 2. I think our room was cleaned almost every day, with fresh bedding and towels provided almost every other day (sneakily while we were out!) Staff are great and super friendly, hotel bar prices are OK €4 for a big bottle of Mythos, €3 for a glass of wine. We've not eaten here (other than the BBQ night which is a must for €12), but we hear the food is great with the pork chop being huge and the English breakfast also very good. Take a taxi up to Piskopiano and stop at Aposperides for some delicious food or try the tavernas in the slightly bigger Koutouloufari. This place is far better than our previous hotel in Crete and I'd 100% recommend!

We stayed here for a week at the end of August 2021. Kids loved the pool, eventhough it is small, it's still pleasant. The poolside wasn't overcrowded and there were always enough sunbeds for all of us. The prices in the hotel weren't overly expensive in comparison to the rest of the area and were significantly cheaper than the other hotel we visited where family were staying. Most families were friendly and pleasant staying at the hotel, some were miserable as sin, but hey ho, you win some you lose some. The staff at the hotel, a small family and the owners were amazing. They cannot be faulted as they always made you welcome and could never do enough for you. The cleaner did her rounds daily and again always left the room spotless. The little supermarket at the end of the lane is again perfect for your everyday essentials, prices aren't over-inflated for it being off the main strip. There is, if you need it, a Lidl around 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. The main strip is a good 15-20 minute walk and it is a chore in the heat. Taxis aren't overly expensive, everything seemed to be 10 Euro, no matter how far you travelled. Overall, a great holiday made by a great apartment/hotel setup.

Arrived at Saradari on 26th July and it was late. First impressions were we were dropped off in a public car park with a dog barking at us and cats running around. Met the manager Stavros, lovely guy who can't do enough for you. If I were to mark the hotel on him I would give full marks however, like one of the other guests who sent real pictures of the apartments, I agree they are very cramped for a family of 4. We went into our room on the ground floor and was greeted with the biggest cockroach I've ever seen so asked to be moved. We got moved to the room upstairs and found 5 more cockroaches. Stavros invited us for a drink at the bar whilst he sprayed cockroach repellent and when sleeping 2 came out and 2 died under two of our beds! In the morning Stavros chapped the door at 7am (I was sleeping) and said he was in to spray room and due to covid19 the water hadn't been running etc so the cockroaches were coming up the drains. I felt that this could have been done prior to our arrival but by then I had already been on the phone to jet2 to get moved. We shared a night in one room and Stavros had been in spraying all around which only enticed them outl. Anyway we got moved to the Bellos (see my review on it) which is are 3 star apartments and the Saradari is 3.5 stars but for us the Bellos was way superior and had much more stuff for the family and we loved it there. I'm sure we wouldn't have had such a nice holiday at the Saradari even if we hadn't been pushed to move so are glad these things happened and we got a move to a place we loved. I'm sure many people who want a quiet holiday will have a nice time at the Saradari, the hosts Stavros and his wife are really nice and the rooms are spotlessly clean but our experience wasn't the best from the minute we arrived which is a shame. I'm sure normally everything would be okay but our experience wasn't great to be honest.

Firstly I must stress that I have never written a bad review after a vast number of holidays (aged 54 years old). I really don't understand how this place gets such glowing reviews. The owner was very aggressive to the point of him squaring up to me and his wife had to step in front of him before it got physical. It all started when my wife and I were having a glass of wine on the balcony and when my wife closed the french door to keep the midges out the bottom bolt dropped and we were locked out. One of the guests shouted him to tell him and he came over shaking his head. He asked where the main door key was in which we replied it was in the main door which infuriated him (who when on holiday doesn't keep the key in the lock of the main door?!?!?!). He managed to get the French door open and stormed past us saying "that could have cost you money" which we were flabbergasted. The second incident was when we asked for clean towels. We were issued with 2 bath towels and 2 face towels bearing in mind that my wife and I shower on a morning and again before going for food in the evening. When my wife asked his wife for towels he said to her "they're only here for 4 days" as if to say the towels supplied should suffice. His wife overuled him and gave us more. Our room wasn't cleaned out in the 4 days we stayed and it wasn't the cleanest of places. After reading other reviews I tend to agree particularly with one which mentioned the fact that the television didn't work, the WiFi signal was very poor and there was very little crockery which all relates to the bar having excellent WiFi signal, sky TV and as much food and drink as you would like. The reason I say that was because the first day we were there we bought a breakfast along with drinks around the pool all day. Second day we brought food and drink back with us in which we seen notice us carrying a bag containing food and drink. The third day we never attended a bbq around the pool which we were invited. My wife and I preferred to be out and about taking in the sights of Greece and eating local foods in the restaurants. I truly believe the fact we weren't buying from the bar really got under his skin and he became very hostile toward us yet he couldnt be any nicer to people who were sat around the pool all day buying food and drink from him. On leaving the hotel I took the key to him at the bar in which he said we owe him money in which I asked why? He said we should have had the key back to him at 11am. By this time it was 4pm and I said to him that I wasn't aware that we were to have handed the keys in by 11am as the place was extremely quiet with very few people staying there due to it being the end of the season (beginning of november). I asked him why he didn't ask my wife for the key because after all she had been sat around the pool all afternoon not too far from where he was sat. I mentioned the locked door incident and also the towels and he suddenly jumped out of his seat like a madman effing and blinding. I must stress that this review in not sour grapes, just a heads up. I can very much understand locals becoming tired and frustrated toward the end of the season as at the end of the day they're very hard working and it's their livelihood.

Small and quiet complex close to the beach and hersonissos strip.
Family of 3 stayed for a week in a one bed apartment.
The apartment was very clean on arrival.
Small and compact, ideal for 2 but a squeeze for any more people with limited storage and self catering equipment.
I think the towels could be changed more often as we only had them changed once for a weeks stay and had to ask for a further change, which want a problem for the owners but they could be changed more frequently we felt.
Ac included, which I’m sure would be required in the warmer months. A safe also free of charge which is good.
The complex is well looked after and Stavros and his family are always on hand and very friendly with lots of local information.
The BBQ night was excellent and good value, however the drinks at the complex are a little pricey compared to bars and restaurants around the resort.

Small and friendly Saradari was a great base for our holiday.
One bed apartments are clean and comfortable, the bathroom was compact with a decent shower. A sliding shower screen would have been so much better than a shower curtain, in my opinion, but that would have impacted the space between toilet and shower.

Great location for the beach, around a 10-15 min walk into the main area. The pool area is small but nice.

Stavros really is the heart of Saradari, such a lovely, friendly man. He and his family work so hard, and I can see why people return year after year.
Thank you for a lovely holiday, and good luck with the rest of the season. Lisa & Sean

The araprtments are tiny. A double bed in the bedroom and a small sofa in the kitchen. My daughter slept on this sofa which was about a foot away from the oven and fridge. We didn't even have enough chairs to sit on and there were only 3 of us! The bar is open until the early hours of the morning (even the every bar in Greece is supposed to close at midnight due to covid restrictions) so make sure you take plenty ear plugs. In the 11 nights I've been here I have only slept through the night once. I look worse than when I arrived! The apartments are so flimsy that we can here our neighbours peeing!!! Not suitable at all for young children or people who want to sleep before 2am. Would be great for people who like sleeping all day and going out on an evening especially as Hersonissos/Stalis is full of cheap and cheerful type bar and clubs.

The Saradari Apartments is the perfect place to stay when in Crete. We spent 5 days there, and spent time lying round the pool, sitting at the bar, and exploring the area and the island. There is a supermarket a 1 minute walk away, the beach is 5 minutes away, and only a 15 minute walk away from the the main town. The hotel is very close to a few car rental companies, where you can rent cars for very reasonable prices!

The apartments themselves are traditional and fitted with new bathrooms. Everything was absolutely spotless!
We had a brilliant view from our balcony too!

Stavros and Ellie make everyone very welcome- excellent hosts! Would definitely go back to Saradari Apartments!

We didn't eat at the poolside bar . Quite a small menu, a bottle of mythos was €5 but if you go to the supermarket it's around €2, But the atmosphere around the pool is great , everyone is friendly. We went up to the villages of an evening the food was lovely and reasonably priced, but it's around €12 taxi fare one way . We really enjoyed it there and hope to be back September.
