Where to start!
This place was just the epitome of hospitality, aesthetics, peacefulness and cleanliness. First off, thank you to all the staff for making us feel at home. Thank you to Aris for the daily morning chat, to Klaudyna for taking care of our every need, Lambros at Halcyon made our dinner wonderful, and Katerina and Dimitris were very responsive even before our arrival. Thank you to the breakfast staff as well for being so wonderful and accommodating!
We booked the 2 bedroom villa (family of 5) and it had everything we could possibly need. We were a bit skeptical of the sofa bed but my 5’10 brother testifies to its comfort. The rooms are nice and spacious, and so is the kitchen and the pool. In the kitchen there’s a sofa trunk where they keep inflatables for the pool and a pump (super convenient!), and the place is just so photogenic and comfortable.
Breakfast was exceptional, with a buffet of pastries and menu items that are included in the price. So many good options, I had a different breakfast every day and you can’t go wrong with any of them. Halcyon for dinner was also phenomenal. You can tell all their materials are fresh and high quality, and the artistry in the presentation is just *cheff’s kiss*. You simply must get the sourdough bread.
In terms of location, the resort is just a 5 min taxi ride from the heart of Hersonissos, there’s a supermarket about 7 mins away on foot from the resort, Star Beach is a 15-20 min walk, and Koutouloufari (which is a must see imo) is only 7 mins by taxi. Taxis are quite affordable (8€ to town, 10€ to Koutouloufari) and the reception can gladly order them for you. If you’re planning on touring other places in Crete you’ll need a car. We hired a car for two days from the resort and it was quite affordable but the prices vary according to the period you’re renting for. I recommend booking in advance through the resort.
We went to two Yoga sessions with Eleftheria which were also very enjoyable.
All in all, an exceptional stay and we’ll certainly be returning to The Nest.

An excellent stay with family at The Nest. It is the epitome of relaxation. Aris makes The Nest what it is and a few select members of his team supporting him including Alex. Halcyon is as close to Michelin star quality as you’ll get and is phenomenal with views over the Aegean Sea and yet again, relaxing atmosphere with a sublime tasting food menu.

The bedrooms are close to the amenities of the hotel whereas the villas offer a up hill walk to access the outlets with their own private swimming pools.

The pool/bar menu is also an excellent variety of food choices. Our personal favourites were the Cretan salad, club sandwich and the fruit smoothies.

Hire car’s are offered internally for around €60-75 p/day depending on the car they have available for you.

The decor is boho style and nestled within the Hersonissos mountains, it really is a beautiful resort. It’s a 15/20 minute walk from the town which is more lively for the younger generations and a taxi is around €9.

Would most certainly recommend The Nest as you will struggle to find better in Crete. Thank you team and we are officially Nestlers.

Each staff were so friendly and enthusiastic. We felt very welcome. It was a stay i won't forget that quickly.
The rooms was very clean - big balcony and they even have screens for insect of high quality. Works very well.
Breakfast is super, buffet is small because you can order a la cart, which is better. Everything is fresh and meat/ sausage/ eggs / cheese wont stay to long outside.
Try the pancake of the menu, won't be disappointed.
Pool and the beds outside is also good, you have a swim and get tanned with a super view!

It's a small resort/ hotel which i like. All the staff are just like a small family together, I felt i'm joining a very hospitality family for few days.

Even the restaurant next to hotel is too good, small prices with excellent food! Pity we found out too late, otherwise we will have more food over there. Now we have a excuse to go back again :)

The Nest Resort, similar to a real nest scores with an almost perfect location. Close to the sea but not too close, a little bit hidden but a perfect view (omg the sunsets), even for hikers it's very easy to just start there or move up to the easy reachable Lasithi Plateau. For all the food enthusiasts, no need to wait for the mother bird, just walk down to the restaurant and eat the best ceviche around. Highly recommendable!

We definitely were impressed by this place!! We were one of the first clients in this brandnew beautiful resort. The resort has 9 private villas each with his own private swimmingpool and they all have oceanview!! Then you have a main building with deluxe rooms and a beautiful area at the main swimmingpool with bar and a lot of other cosy sitting places to relax. The resort is build in the mountains so you have a spectacular view over the town Chersonissos. You can walk to town in about 15-20 min or a 5 min drive. We stayed in one of the private villas and it was just perfect!! Everything is from high quality and they just thought about everything. We said a few times we could live there. Everything you need was present. So do not hesitate a minute to stay here; you will not regret it!! Also the staff was outstanding!! They will go out of their reach to make sure you have a wonderful stay. Also a lot of thanks to the guys Akilis and Labros that made and brought us breakfast. The breakfast is delicious and will not be found in any other hotel. As well in the restaurant Halcyon you will fine dining with exceptional service!! Definitely try it out! So just to say that you will not only will be staying in the most beautiful resort of the area but also with the most friendly staff. From Katherina and Dimitris from the reception to the friendly cleaning staff whom are doing a excellent job.
For us also a special thanks to the manager Aris!!! Thank you for everything! We would definitely return!!

Spent 7 lovely nights at this amazing hotel.

We “only” had the “standard room” but that description is rude to the room. Lovely rain shower, great AC, nice toiletries, comfortable bed…
I mean obviously the villas would be next level but we were perfectly happy as the main pool area is so nice too with super comfy sunbeds.

The a la carte breakfast was on par with the best of five star hotels breakfasts I’ve been to. Loved the proper cappucinos etc on offer too.
Lunch burger by the pool was best I’ve so far had on this island and you really should eat at the Halcyon restaurant by dinner. Food was different quality to the Greek tavernas or other restaurants.

And the STAFF… genuinely amazing. Zack, Alex, Klaudina… And sorry for the others not mentioned here they were so nice and was great to chat with all of them. 10/10 thank you guys!

Unfortunately we were somehow too busy that we never made it to the spa so can’t really comment on that but it looked real nice.

Hersonissos centre was 8-10 eur by cab so not bad

We stayed here for two nights in a Deluxe ocean view room with a spacious balcony. Our room is directly above the restaurant, so we can hear people talking below in the evening, but it didn't bother us too much as the talking didn't last till later into the night. Our room has a separate sitting area, which is nice for relaxing after some long walks.

The hotel is up on a hill, which is accessible through a hidden road that is very easy to miss. We took three tries to get there the first time. So maybe some signage placed before the turn would help future guests find the hotel more easily.

There seems to be a bit of problem with electrical wiring in our room, as the wall light in the living area could not be turned off and the bright light kept us up most part of the night. We told the front desk the next morning but the problem wasn't fixed the next day, so as the last resort, my hubby figured out how to access the light bulb and removed it himself (lol)

After hearing the front desk personnel raving so much about the food at the hotel, we ate lunch there on our first day (after our arrival), and it turned out to be disappointing. The price was high in comparison to other meals we had for the rest of our trip in Greece, and the taste was just so so. The dinners we had at the hotel that night confirmed the same impression.

The real disappointment came the morning after, when, after so much hype about the food, we saw what were offered for the included breakfast. This is the only hotel during our three week road trip of Greece that did not offer made to order eggs for breakfast, and we skipped straight to a Cretean desert.

Overall we found this side of Crete to be less interesting. You should skip Malia Palace altogether. These are ruins with walls only a tiny bit above ground level; you'll find far more impressive ruins anywhere you go in Greece. Knossos palace is worth it, but buy tickets online and get there early to avoid long lines.

I stayed four nights at The Nest Resort during summer 2022 and I have almost no words to describe how good this hotel is, it’s simply amazing!

The facilities and the rooms speaks for itself, modern, clean, luxurious but also very cozy.

The pool area is peaceful with a fantastic view over the Bay of Malia and the soft lounge/jazz vibe music in the background get you into a good mood.

Not to forget the bar and the food in Restaurant Halcyon which is something extraordinary. I had plans to go down to the Hersonissos city and eat there but I ended up having all the meals at The Nest Resort.

But the best part of my stay at The Nest Resort is actually the people who work there, very friendly, service minded, interested and so genuine. Thanks a lot to all of you who made my stay to something really special.

I came to the Nest Resort as stressed family father to just relax for few days, without any expectations. I came home very relaxed, with new friends and many good memories.

I hope to come back to this wonderful resort soon!

Our first time in Cherssonisos and not our last, The Nest Resort was the perfect place to spend our weekend in this beautiful island of Crete. Staff was so polite, service was also excellent and the food at Halcyon restaurant was so delicious. The view from the villa was stunning and we really enjoyed our private pool and the spa that we had, room service was on point and the cocktails that we had in the pool bar were just amazing. The only "bad" thing was that the weather was not on our side because we visited the hotel on May but we have already booked for our next visit but this time on August. I totally recommend The Nest Resort and Halcyon restaurant.
