Spacious rooms with sofa and kitchen. Two bedrooms make it easy to sleep if you are 4-6 people. A bit crowdy during the party in the night but then you just go to the next party in the neighbor room. We had a perfect weekend with the best weather. Fridge, freezer, washing machine and good shower in all rooms. No... More

The Svalbard Hotell & Lodge take good care of their international guests. No mather where you come in one of the lodgeblocks; it's warm, clean, cosy and you feel at home. Nice breakfast, although you have to be early for the best variety.... Hang aroud at the fireplace in the 'lobby' with good friends and a couple of drinks after... More

Four of us booked into this spacious, clean, tidy, modern and comfortable lodge for two nights. This was reasonably priced, especially with the pound being currently strong. Warm, cosy and with an excellent view of the main street, shops, mining history and the snow covered surrounding mountains. The reception was welcoming, easy to check in and only a minute's walk... Horror - if you can afford it stay away. We just had one night here - but it's definitely the worst place I stayed since a long time . It's loud - the bar ends with the music 2:15 at night .. No way to get some sleep- the front door of the bar smashes all the time. The sleeping... More

I have NEVER had heated floors in a hotel room bathroom - best thing EVER! The room was also exceptional - huge room with an amazing view. Really clean and modern. Another thing - Svalbard (and Norway) have really good English television. So when you come back into the room, it's great to fall asleep watching the regular stuff. Feels... More

Easiest check in in history!! Literally keys thrown over heads..in a nice way. Spacious well equipped..slap bang in center...bar below can be noisy but I didn't have problems sleeping after a packed say of activities..great breakfast downstairs..very warm apartment with amazing views..would highly recommend..local shop handy and buses and tour operators stop right outside. Memorable stay!! 10/10

We rented an apartment here during the bluesfestival, Dark Season Blues 2015, and it was the perfect way to stay for two buddies. Very central and enough space and rooms for us (well we where two, and there was 7 beds placed in two bedrooms, so yeah. :) )

We stayed at the Svalbard lodge for 4 nights whilst visiting Spitsbergen. The apartments were spacious, warm and comfortable and very good if you were wanting to self cater and have a base to come back to in between tours. Its well located to explore the town and very conveniant to the supermarket. The hotel and lodge breakfast is very... More

The lodge is a good place if you are staying with a family. The apartments are spacious and with good facilities. We were at the time where there is no darkness and the blinds did a good job of keeping the light out and allowing us a god night sleep. Breakfast at the Svalbar was good and with a good... More

This apartment block is located on the main shopping street in Longyearbyen. There are no lifts to the upper floors so a major disadvantage is one has to carry their luggage with them. Breakfast is not included in the apartment rates and is served at the Svalbar restaurant on the ground floor. Food variety is good and healthy. There is... More
