Deepdale is an award-winning, eco-friendly independent backpackers hostel and campsite located on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. We offer comfortable self-catering accommodation for individuals and groups, along with pitches for tents, campervans, motorhomes and trailer tents (sorry no caravans). Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village of Burnham Deepdale occupies a very special place on the North Norfolk Coast. Each of us here at Deepdale has their own passion, whether it be the wild beauty of the saltmarshes on a Spring morning; long Winter walks along the Norfolk Coast Path; lying in the grass gazing up awe-inspired at a Summer night sky, or an Autumn day spent watching birds migrate to their winter home. We would like to invite you to come and discover your passion with us.

Our second visit to this campsite - even better than the first. Camping out of season is always a challenge but the new shower blocks made it a pleasure - warm, clean and very roomy & even provided hairdryers. Hardstanding pitches are a lovely size with electric hookup and our

The only thing wrong with this wonderful site us that the dog walk is not fully fenced. Dogs could easily get on to the road. However, showers are superb; convenient bus stops are nearby; there are walks from site and to pubs; shop and cafe are close by; Norfolk is beautiful;

Thanks for coming to stay, and glad you like the facilities. The £59 price you mentioned is for our most expensive pitch in high season, 5 people on one of our fully serviced hard standing pitches (water, electric, waste, wifi & tv connection) so isn't reflective of our general pricing. You can stay for as little as £9 a night (for 2 people) in low season. Sure if you head our way again out, you'll be able to stay for much less than you'd expect.

The booking process was really easy and the follow up information from the reception team, giving details about events that were happening nearby on the weekend we were booked in was excellent. Also excellent was the phone call from reception on the day of our arrival to

That sounds like it should be ample. Electric hookups are in the middle of the backside of each pitch, so 10m will easily stretch to where you want to site it in your tent.

We have a few firepits to rent. Best to book them in advance as they are very popular.

Hi Lisa Apologies, only just seen your question. We have Pizzas available on Friday nights from The Wood Fired Food Co, and Curries on Saturday nights from Currylicious, both most of the way through the year. There isn't a fish and chip shop in walking distance, however there are two good pubs in the village, that at calmer times will do take-away (The Jolly has a pizza oven). Deepdale Cafe, next door, at weekends in high season will be doing evening take-away food.

Hi Bill. The best bet is cycling round Holkham, which has many paths to explore around the estate and hall. As you head inland lanes are quieter, depends on the confidence of the kids. Hope that is helpful.

Hi Naomi. You can catch a bus to both Brancaster and Holkham, but there is still a good walk from the nearest bus stops. At Wells there is a little train that runs from the town to the beach car park, so you could avoid a long walk with children.
