Deepdale is an award-winning, friendly independent campsite and private rooms located on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. We offer pitches for tents, campervans, motorhomes and trailer tents (sorry no caravans due to planning restrictions), along with comfortable self-catering private rooms for individuals, couples and families. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village of Burnham Deepdale occupies a very special place on the North Norfolk Coast. Each of us here at Deepdale has their own passion, whether it be the wild beauty of the saltmarshes on a Spring morning; long Winter walks along the Norfolk Coast Path; lying in the grass gazing up awe-inspired at a Summer night sky, or an Autumn day spent watching birds migrate to their winter home. We would like to invite you to come and discover your passion with us.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was my first time at Deepdale, staying in one of the private rooms. The room was en suite with shower, toilet and sink. The shared kitchen facilities were excellent. Highly recommended as a base for birdwatching on the Norfolk coast when using public transport as it is next to a bus stop and a supermarket. Will be returning in May.

We stay here in our motorhome every March. We like the site and now the metered electric is easy to use, very fair price, we used £2.50 over 3 days. I admit it was for battery charging and the fridge. We did not use the electric cooker hob or electric heating. Any credit left is refunded automatically once you leave. The site facilities are very good, staff are helpful, there are pop up shops, next door is a petrol station with a great shop,a cafe and shops. Fresh fish from the Crab Shack along the road. Great walking to the Brancaster beach or to Burnham Overy. Then there is Barrow Common behind the campsite. Our favourite walk is to The Jolly Sailors pub for fresh mussels (must be an “r” in the month) and Pizzas.

We had a lovely stay at Deepdale on an electric pitch. Shower block and facilities were clean, plenty of room on our pitch. All very dog friendly, it was great having a secured park to let him off. We found the pay as you go electricity system very easy to use and a much cheaper way than other campsites where you pay per day. Really accessible to the Norfolk coastal path and close to The White Horse Brancaster. We will definitely return here later on in the year!

We had a fantastic stay at Deepdale, the staff were absolutely amazing. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and very warm. The drying cabinet was a great benefit as we got absolutely soaked walking on the Thursday. Only negative is that the double bed in our room was so hard that I ended up sleeping on the bunk bed instead. Would highly recommend staying here, great staff, great rooms and a great location!

Received the warmest welcome and were shown to our pitch and given great recommendations about where to eat (added bonus of listening to the sea shanty singers). Nice clean showers and right on the Norfolk coast path. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the en-suite rooms, which are perfect for a short break along the Norfolk coast, or for anyone spending time bird-watching in the area. The double room was warm and cozy, and although we didn't use the attached kitchen and lounge they too looked comfy and warm. The site is well located for the coast, and the accompanying cafe and well-stocked village shop are a benefit. Two pubs are within a few minutes' walk.

What a super campsite! We have had an absolutely brilliant weekend away courtesy of the team at Deepdale campsite. The pitches are a great size, the facilities are excellent (loved the book swap) and the shower blocks are clean, warm and well appointed! The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they couldn’t have been more helpful (especially when the stormy weather threatened to take our roof tent)! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a drier end to our weekend and managed to turn a miserable situation (very soggy tent) into an absolutely superb break! The rooms and shared kitchen/lounge areas are lovely and so much through this gone into making sure all guests have a great time! Thank you so much, we will be back!

Great site set up with excellent facilities. WiFi worked good enough, had a limited TV reception. Electric is online but easy to set up and refund for unused automatically given upon leaving the site. Large shower block with plenty of toilet/shower cubicles. Dalegate Market is a row of shops, supermarket and petrol station (which we found was cheaper than some supermarkets on our travels) fronting the site. Path directly opposite takes you to the coastal path (we found most of the birds were in the section around Burnham Overy Staithes on our walk to Wells with a bus back directly to the site). We did experience quite a lot of noise from military jets above and into the night throughout the stay - might have just been unlucky. We tried 2 pubs and you'll need a fat wallet for both! The White Horse is a fish restaurant with not much else - service was great, dogs welcome but food mediocre for the price. The Ship we visited for lunch — service was great, dogs welcome but were served a cheese & ham sandwich a child could have made for £11.50! We did walk past the Jolly Sailor on the way back and that looked like the best bet of the 3 for normal pub grub.
