COMFORTABLE FRIENDLY RELAXING GOOD VALUE AND EXCELLENT FOOD .. a much needed break away me and my two daughters one night after visiting the Thursford Spectacular so needed something good on the pocket but decent as overspent lately ! We appreciate good food (as I really can cook) ! We like cleanliness (naturally) ! No this is not luxury and... More

Visited here recently with some friends. This place is so cute inside, really quaint and beautifully decorated so had high hopes for our lunch. We ended up being thoroughly disappointed as our meal was incredibly bland with no flavour whatsoever. I would probably go back for a drink but not too easy in future.

We picked this hotel as it looked ideal and was close to my parents house, my family were visiting from Canada so we needed somewhere to stay just for one night. Upon arrival all seemed well and we where shown to our room. We were happy that the access to our room was separate to that of the pub as... More

Replying to second review; all of the previous comments in the response still apply, plus I've found this highly insulting, to be accused of being intoxicated when I've been woken up at 1:30 am in the morning. Nothing was mentioned of night before at breakfast on your behalf either, therefore how can a situation be dealt with if there is... More

Today (6/3/16), we had a table booked for 2.30, but we were early, but that was ok, we weren't in a hurry, we were happy to have a drink and wait. We each ordered a starter and a main 1 x salmon 2 x roast pork. It was all hot tasty & plentiful. We all really enjoyed it. Very enjoyable.... More

We chose this place because it was dog friendly. The room was rather small, but clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom had no heating and was very chilly in the morning and the shower none too clean. The breakfast was adequate but rushed as the cleaner was working where we were. We had an evening meal there the... More

We were greeted by very friendly staff who also gave us the benefit of their local knowledge and ideas for things to do. The room was out the back on ground level in the old wood store, the room was comfortable and clean, supplying everything we wished for. The shower was small but in keeping with the room and space... My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and at £90 a night thought that a tad expensive for what was on offer. The room was the converted wood store and was very snug. Although the central heating was off every morning and the last night, there is a convector heater in the room which did a great job of... More

I stayed here for three nights with a friend and we took two of the three rooms they have. The rooms were certainly comfortable and the shower room adequate. We were asked what we wanted for breakfast and the staff were all very obliging and helpful. Plenty of orange juice and milk to go with cereal which was followed by... More

Lovely setting in a sleep little village. The room was fine, reasonably sized and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was ok but the shower cubical was a little on the small side. I had dinner in the pub which was also fine.

We stayed here for 2 nights the room itself was nice and recently refurbished. The one thing that let the pub down was the fact you had no choice of breakfast. It was full English brought to your table like it or not and the tea and coffee was terrible.
