We stayed in the Ochre Room which overlooked the garden. It had a lovely en-suite and was very comfortable. Our hosts Peter and Pat, were very helpful and Peter carried my suitcase upstairs for me and down when we left 4 days later, as I am disabled this was very much appreciated. The breakfasts were very good and kept us... More

Loved every minute of our overnight stay in this beautiful house, very attentive hosts and wonderful breakfast to set us up for the day ahead ,all served in a very handsome dining room. The house is very well located for Holt and Patricia kindly gave us a list of nice places to eat that evening.

Neatly situated at the rear of O.P,H, is a delightful self catering cottage. The most comfortable place we have stayed at in many years of travelling around the British Isles. The sofa's in the lounge and the beds up stairs make for late morning starts and difficulty in getting out of the sofas to put the kettle on.Down stairs there... More

Staying at the Old Plough House near Holt in Norfolk with a good friend for a few days was a real joy, our intention was to sketch and paint along the coast but poor weather curtailed our plans but our chosen B&B with Peter and Pat as our delightful hosts made up for our disappointments. OPH is a most beautiful B&B. I stayed in the tranquil & beautifully appointed Blue Room with a smart bathroom, and enjoyed breakfasts made from the best produce, cooked with skill and served with delicious homemade bread & jams. The hosts are kind, efficient and well informed. The public areas are finely decorated, In addition there is a pretty garden.

I stayed here for two nights with a friend. Our twin room was very comfortable and attractive. Peter was an friendly and most helpful host and cooked an excellent breakfast, with fruit salad and a choice of kippers or smoked haddock in addition to the usual fry up. Much appreciated.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With parts of the building dating back to the 16th century, Old Plough House was for many years a busy ale house, serving the community of Field Dalling village. After being lovingly restored and refurbished, it's now a stylish bed & breakfast, serving the finest organic locals produce and with three luxury bedrooms all boasting en suite bathrooms, digital televisions and WiFi Internet access.Ideally situated in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside, we are only four miles from both the charming Georgian market town (and modern day shopping Mecca) of Holt, and also from the coastal hotspot which is Blakeney. Beyond this, the area's attractions range from the unspoilt coast, with its justly famous nature reserves and wildlife sanctuaries, through a wide selection of stately homes and museums, to an ever-increasing range of gastronomic delights. ... more   less
