We really enjoyed our stay at Breck farm last week, it was by far the most enjoyable time away from home I’ve had in years. Before arriving I was worried about the amenities, how accessible they were, if they were stone cold in the morning, if they were run down or if they were easily accessible at night. Luckily, All of my worries were for no reason. Breck farm it kitted out with all your camping essentials; lovely showers with steaming water, hairdryers, mirrors, clean toilets (and lots of them), phone charging locker and freezer for your ice packs. They even include an external and internal washing up area with dish racks for the lovely after dinner washing up. All around the staff were really lovely, the lady in the tuck shop was very polite and helpful. We ran into a bit of trouble going over the limit of 5mph during our stay and we were kindly reminded by a Breck Farm employee to stick to the speed limit. There are plenty of things to do around Breck Farm that is both family friendly and couple friendly. We visited Shire horse sanctuary, visited Holt and had breakfast at the lovely Holt Café, drove to Cromer to enjoy the arcades and the beach and visited the military museum in Sheringham. Not to mention the beautiful woodland that surrounds Breck farm, and Sheringham park just down the road. We spotted many deer, rabbits and squirrels during our stay at Breck Farm, all of which were in the surrounding woods. Of course there’s lots more amazing adventures to be had, that’s exactly why we are planning to come back asap! Despite being surrounded by woodland, Breck Farm has a very open and spacious feel to it, the pitches are also a great size (only electric pitches are marked). The Farm also hosts a lovely herd of cattle who are super inquisitive and friendly. We didn’t really have many downsides for our stay, but there are a few things to note (to make this a fair review). Before you stay, note that the service both for calls and 4G is pretty much non existent. Download things on YouTube/Netflix before you arrive! Of course I know that a camping get away is supposed to relieve you from your phone and get you into the wilderness, but if you have children that enjoy watching things when they are winding down, or need something to keep you occupied late at night, it doesn’t hurt. One thing we didn’t appreciate was the lack of communication from Breck Farm about the food van services. They had posted on their Facebook that every Friday in May the fish and chips van was going to be on site to serve everyone. So on Friday we waited… And waited… And waited. It wasn’t till 7:30 we realised that it probably wasn’t coming, and with no plans for dinner we went to bed hungry. Other than that experience, and getting my toiletries stolen after leaving them for 5 minutes to grab my towel from the tent our experience was really positive. Breck Farm has everything you need for a lovely getaway in North Norfolk

Firstly, I will say what a lovely camp site, the kids loved it and so did we. So much space and generally friendly staff!!! That is of course once you get passed the very rude, loud, Rottweiler of a receptionist!! Her people skills are horrendous and the way she talks to children has a lot to be desired. Not the ideal first impression, but once you’re passed her, the holiday is amazing. I will be returning though!!

Was very surprised how nice it would be, pictures don't do it justice, was so relaxing, toilet block is huge! Has 10-12 cubicles in the men's, and around 6 urinals, 4 outside wash basins, and 4-5 inside wash basins for washing up, and access to a lovely walk that goes through to kelling heath caravan park, which is accessible to the public to walk round, found a hidden pond next to the train platform, really enjoyed it, and found a viewpoint overlooking weybourne.

There was a lovely, warm welcome and we had a good pitch which was quite far away from other caravans so it felt peaceful. In the afternoon, there were some lads playing football in the middle of the site which went under our caravan and hit it once, but when night fell it was very peaceful. There were new rules in place about quiet times and we had an excellent sleep.

Ok we got lucky with the weather that always helps. Great site , very relaxed , staff polite and friendly no issues with noise nearby but further afield we could here Music which may have been a pain if closer. I suppose people want a bit more nowadays so the shower block was adequate and the water hot it was a bit dated and didn’t really see much of a cleaning regime especially in these times . The site is lovely and spacious however some areas need a grass cut especially the Fire stations ( Water Butts) The site is a great base for visiting the nearby coast and Towns. Some small negatives but we hopefully be back next year.

First time camping in Norfolk, Breck Farm was perfectly situated, lovely working farm with woods around for great dog walking and child’s play area. Manager was very helpful on arrival and took time to show us good hook up quiet position, which was perfect. Good volume of facilities, toilets showers and washing up places. Extras inc phone charger site and freezer for ice blocks, great touches. Quiet site and farmers keep grounds tidy and rubbish free

Let’s start with the negatives… - finding a pitch wasn’t the easiest. It was a free for all and I was conscious that we didn’t want to get too close to the neighbours. In the end we had no choice as we had paid for an electric pitch and there were limited options. - the toilets and showers were dated and needed to be cleaned on a more regular basis to accommodate the amount of traffic coming through. - I had read a few reviews about the site being strict on music being played at a level that neighbours could hear. This wasn’t the case while we were there. Whilst this didn’t bother us it may be an issue for some. - the hot water at the washing up facilities was non existent. The positives… - the site is in a great location for exploring the areas near by. - the noise levels generally subsided by 11pm at the latest that we could hear. - the water in the showers was always hot and despite how busy the site was we never had to queue to use them. - the food vans are a great back up for nights you don’t want to cook anything. - the site itself was clean and tidy. Overall, considering how busy they were I enjoyed our stay and the small issues we had wouldn’t stop me from going back.

lovely site, friendly staff. Unfortunately a lot of campers had their own private parties from early afternoon until quiet time. Along with the constant screaming of children. This is not a site if you want to relax. At one point, we had a party on one side and a few women dancing to their car stereo on the other side. If we want a campsite that feels like a festival, then this is for you, if not then i strongly advise you go somewhere else!

The toilets, showers and washing up facilities in my opinion are a health hazard especially with the current Covid situation. They may have been cleaned daily but with the large amount of people on site using the one block by the end of the day they were in an awful state and often several out of order due to drainage issues. There was never any hot water for washing up. Although didn’t have a problem with hot water in the showers but we went late afternoon which was quieter. Felt intimidated by teens hanging around the facilities late at night. People mention very stringent security and being told to turn off music. This was not the case in our part of the site and people were talking loudly and laughing into the early hours with music being played quite loudly during the day. We only saw the security one night during our 5 night stay going around the site in their golf buggy. I agree the site was is in a lovely location and we were in one of the bell tents which were on the outskirts of the site thankfully, but it was definitely not glanping due to the awful facilities. The double bed in the bell tents was comfy and bedding was clean. We will not be returning.

We stayed at Breck Farm during mid August and had a mixed emotion stay. Firstly, we really enjoyed the location of the farm. Very close to coastal resorts which were a pleasure to visit! On tbe flip side the showers were okay, could have been cleaner as with the toilets. The sinks took ages to drain and the find your own pitch is pot luck. We pitched up in what we thought was a space big enough for our tent between our neighbours, only to have a couple come and pitch up right in the corner between us. Not a huge problem, the problem came at night when said couple decided they would stick two fingers up to the 9pm quiet time and play music, get drunk, dance and partake in adult activity as loud as possible and then self applaud their performances! No park attendant in sight doing the rounds. With 2 small kids trying to sleep, I did not feel comfortable approaching them. Thankfully, their stay was short, but people should really respect the quiet times. Would we return? I honestly don't know...
