Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Claremont has a good central location, a few minutes walk from the high St, we had a Seaview in a large room with 4 poster, 2 chairs, kettle tv etc, everything was provided. Guest lounge downstairs and a dining room. Breakfast was very good with excellent butchers sausage and tasty eggs. Cereals and toast as well as cooked breakfast. Would definitely go back

My family and I enjoyed our weekend at claremont. We booked 3 rooms and all rooms were spotlessly clean and warm at all times. Des and Mo served a lovely breakfast each morning. There is a toaster on each table so u can toast to your liking. My granddaughter loved being the chief toaster on her table. Des and Mo were very pleasant and helpful and always had time to have a chat with us at breakfast. Thank you Des and Mo.

I booked by phone, I spoke to Mo, she was helpful and lovely to me. When we arrived we were greeted by Des. He asked me to sign in. Then spent about half an hour telling us about all the rules. One of the first things he said was , don’t wait till you leave to complain on line, Tell me while you are here. Then showed me my room. Took the quilt off one of the beds. I hadn’t even decided which of the two beds I wanted to sleep in. He said it was because of the dog. I said I had covers for both beds. He went to give me the key, but every time I put my hand forward to get it. He raised his hand up out of my reach. Like I was a child. I am 69 years old. I Have stayed in scores of hotels and b&b’s. After he gave me the keys, even more rules were given. He even explained how to turn a key. He followed us to our car. To clarify what we had asked for breakfast. So I said you want us to tell you about any problems,.“ that was far too much spiel “ it went on and on. Then he gave us more rules about smoking. I said neither of us smoke ….. It was not welcoming, far too over the top. Telling my friend he would be coming in checking the room during our stay. We were told that the heating would come on at 4pm and it is off during the night. But mine was not on when we came back from are walk. I txt to my friend upstairs. She said her radiator was turned off. I looked and mine was too. So the room was still cold until after 5. Then it’s off around 8pm. So by the time you get ready for bed it’s already tepid temperature wise. It came on about 7am. But was off before I got dressed 🙁. Some people left the hotel about 11pm the first night we were there. I think they had not seen the radiator was off. So they were cold and decided to just go home. We were told we could use the fire in the lounge during the day. Personally I like to read in my own room in an afternoon. On a positive note. It was clean and the breakfast was ok. We both had no cereal, juice or yogurt. But there was a note on the fruit about eating it later.

Margret, thank you for taking the time out to write a lengthy review, unfortunately i now have to waste my time responding to the false information/incorrect things you have stated, please see my response to these detailed below. Such a shame you went out of your way and cowardly told the internet and not us !! Every day you where asked was every thing ok and you stated yes very strange, THE RULES (5 min briefing) not 30 mins total exaggeration, are information about your stay and are a requirement!! Had you bothered to listen you would have known radiators are turned down so if guests want a cool room they have it. You also forgot to mention that you where told that should you wish heating to be turned on at any time it was not a problem, shame you also forgot to mention this in your feedback.Once again had you have listened this was explained to you, OF ALL the previous guests no body has had a problem with brief explanation and welcomed the advice. The reason, as you where fully aware for moving duvet is we do not allow dogs on the beds but you made it perfectly clear he would go up there so we where trying to save the duvet from smelling. Once again listening skills Heating goes off at 10.30 pm not 8pm,, comes on at 6 am and goes off at 10am more misinformation, maybe should have listened when i was going through everything and had you have listen you would have known this, As there are two keys i always explain which each was for , shame you didnt listen as a few times you struggle getting in!!! Qnce again you lies about guest leaving on their 4 night (i have spoken to them to confirm they ok telling you the reason why ) they DID NOT leave because it was cold just your lies (they both confirmed they did not speak to you ) they actually left as she has a heart problem and went home to go to hospital so making up lies makes you look stupid! More lies every morning you where asked by Mo what you want for breakfast and you never asked for cereals juice or yogurts had you have asked you would have received. Seems listening skills are not your strong point as anther mis information was stating i said i would check room !!! we state some one normally Mo will check room when you go out, to replenish all items used ie toilet roll tea/coffee etc. While you feel all infomation given was over the top you still managed to get the vast majority incorrect!!! We have looked at your other reviews on B&Bs and there definitely seems to be a trend. Once again i will explain if you take time to listen!! We would appreciate you come to us first if there is a problem, as we are the only people who could fix it rather than doing exactly as you did by telling everyone on line lies as this serves no purpose. We hope your next visit to hunstantons accomadation serves you better but it will not be with us, Regards Mo & Des

Absolutely brilliant guesthouse Des and Mo are lovely people, very welcoming and the breakfast is fantastic. We had a text asking for our ETA which was a nice touch. I thought the room was large and comfortable the room had a shower and a bath which was very nice to have the option of both! It is also dog friendly which our little Cadbury loved, nothing was to much trouble. CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!!!!

Staying here for a week with my little dog, The house is beautiful and immaculate. I was greeted by the most welcoming couple Mo and DES, after checkng me in and filling me in on all information needed Des kindly took my case to my room, I was in a single room en suite and it was fine for me and Leo Breakfast was 10 out of 10 full english served on hot plates. Mo clears the tables as soon as your finished and asks if there is anything you would like to change for tomorrow's breakfast, ie more-less, ( this is asked every morning) There is also a table laid with Yogurt, Fruit, cereal etc a toaster on each table and a pot of tea/coffee This is the best B&B I have ever stayed in by far, and to,ats all thanks to Mo and Des who had lost his mother a week previous, he cooked a perfect breakfast one morning then drove 300 miles to the funeral and back. They are so hard-workin- and dedicated to running a tight ship, One lunch time returning after a doggie walk, I had split my fingernail , Mo was there like a genie and gave me a nail file. She cleans and makes the beds every day, and replenishes tea/coffee, sugar and biscuits, and Des carries down your luggage and loads your car up for you when you are leaving. FANTASTIC B&B with the finer touch - Thank you for everything Mo & Des
