Room was comfortable although the radiator was luke warm; however, the friendly staff supplied 2 small electric rads which did the trick. We dined in the restaurant one evening and the food was good if not great. Breakfast was fine although not quite the standard of some of the

I have just spent 4 nights at the Golden Lion Hotel. 14 Jan till 18. Came here so I could do some coastal hiking. Was met at reception by Laura and Gilles who were super nice. Had room 104 which had a sea view and double bed, lovely as I’m a solo traveller. Room cleaned every

Stayed on the top floor with Sea View and at £60 l shouldn’t have expected too much. Building was very tired throughout. En-suite reeked of bleach, had a fan that sounded like a jet engine and the shower dripped annoyingly all night. Worst of all was the infernal row made by the

Hunstanton is not exactly a metropolis I'm afraid. We only went there for dinner in the absence of anywhere else local. The only crowd we saw was going into the theatre. Everywhere else looked closed except the fish shop. Sorry I could not be more helpful. Perhaps the Anglian Tourist office has a list of excellent pubs and bars. they should have their own website.

No idea I am just a member on here too. Maybe like some others have suggested it could be the TripAdvisor people have held it back.. I will say privately that although the service and standards they were ok they were just about borderline with others I try to be fair and as this was an old sea side hotel I was not expecting much to be fair on this point they met it :(
