Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Chose to eat here for lunch after a "local" reccomended it to us. A nice pint of courage directors was well enjoyed . We chose Ham,egg & chips and the veggieburger, both were cooked and served with the highest standards and were delicious. The staff were both efficient and friendly/courteous. A hidden gem in a local Norfolk town. Would reccomend to all.

I stayed at the Kings Arms on Friday 3rd May 2024 with 3 other friends during a bikepacking journey across Norfolk.

Friday was horrendously wet, so we turned up as 4 soaked cyclists and the pub owners couldn't have been more helpful! They showed us where to put our bikes, showed us our rooms, and even offered to wash and tumbledry our wet and muddy clothes.

A complimentary breakfast bag was waiting for each of us in the rooms. And the food and atmosphere was amazing. They were having a karaoke night, I think a favourite of locals judging by the amount of people there. But we were far too tired by that point to take part.

By the morning, our clothes were waiting for us, and they happily refilled our bottles with water before we set off again on the next leg of our journey.

A really warm and welcoming pub. I'd highly recommend anyone in the area pops in and, if you have the chance to stay there, please do!

My friend and I went to Cromer for the weekend and had found this hotel online.
We were pleasantly surprised. The accommodation had been very recently refurbished throughout. Newly decorated, new carpets and new soft furnishings in a rather nice grey. We stayed in a twin room. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable we had experienced in a very long time. Tea-making facilities were provided and toiletries in the bathroom. Everything had been sanitized and was sealed in bags. The staff were friendly and the chef made a delicious breakfast. Should we be in the area any time, we will definitely stay here again.

My office booked me here for two days as I had work to do nearby.
When I arrived, no parking was available even though the “hotel” advertised parking.
I had to pay for parking nearby, and when I checked in, all my details, including card details were written down on a piece of paper which is quite concerning.
The room itself was filthy with flies.
The lights didn’t work, and I couldn’t find anyone to tell.
I couldn’t try the food as the kitchen was out of order; I had the Chinese next door, which was equally horrendous.
To make matters worse, I banged my head when leaving the room as the entrance was low with no warning.
The following day, I promptly checked out and found somewhere else.

So we chose this room based on reviews on a different website. It got great reviews. We stayed here for the night in a twin room. The bathroom was brilliant, the single beds were really comfortable. However the sash windows aren't double glazed so you can hear everything out side and North Walsham is noisy at night. Plus you have the usual pub sounds from downstairs. During the night it was really windy and our door kept making banging noises but I don't know where the draft causing it was coming from, must of been in the corridor. They boast free internet but don't give you the password and I didn't fancy going to the bar in my pyjamas to ask for it. The breakfast was basically a brown bag with an apple, small carton of orange juice,a flapjack and a tub of instant porridge. The staff were nice.

Often come here on a Thursday for 2 for £24 steak, but came in on a sunny Friday and decided to give the TexMex specials a go.

Loaded taco fries and chilli dog-absolutely lovely! Really good portions as is the norm here, and really good value for money.

Never had a bad meal here, all credit to the 2 young chefs who do an excellent job.

A really great find. Predominately went to watch the football and the managers and staff accommodated us by the big screen and organised the tables so we could enjoy a scrumptious carvery lunch. A fun pub with a great atmosphere, we can’t wait to return on our next seaside break.
Thank you for a great afternoon.

We went for a family Sunday Lunch and it was a very nice time. The food was good, well cooked with a nice variety of vegetables, meats and sauces. Also not skimpy on how much you could put on a plate. Pleasant atmosphere, and polite helpful staff. And of course, as a pub should, plenty to choose from behind the bar catering for all our family, which included a little one!

Called into this pub to kill time waiting for the fish & chip shop to open.
I didn’t like the look of it from outside but it was a cold day so needed somewhere warm to kill 20 minutes.
Carpets were filthy!
I couldn’t wait to leave
£1.70 for half a glass of unfizzy soda water is daylight robbery! Even if there was 1 slice of lemon in it.

I am staying at the Kings Arms at present. Immaculate twin room. Housekeeping, is well above standard! As are all the staff. From bar, kitchen and Chef. Too many names to mention. Food is excellent and plentiful Nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you Martin, Anne and all your staff for making me so welcome during my difficult time.
