Mussels cooked in many ways, lobster or crab ... all very delicious and combined with great service and an atmospheric location. A delight and our first introduction to the Norfolk delights. Thanks for a great evening

We booked an overnight stay on a Sunday night as part of the Red Lion's "Winter Warmer" offer - Dinner, bed and breakfast for two, for £99. Well, we opted to stay in the attic suite, for an extra £20, and had a lovely, fun weekend. The suite consisted of lounge, bedroom and bathroom over the restaurant, complete with head-bumping...

Still the best mussels you can eat. Another visit to North Norfolk and a bowl of mussels at the Red Lion. Good Woodforde's ales as well. What more can you want? Friendly staff, lots of parking, nice atmosphere, real fire, dogs and children welcome. Looking forward to my next trip.

We came in for a meal tonight, I ordered the muscles starter and my husband had the duck liver which were both lovely. We both had the steak as mains and they were cooked perfectly! We didn't have desserts as we were both completely full from the 2 courses. The food was gorgeous! The only criticisms I would have would...

Booked a last minute room (attic suite 12) to stay on New Year's Day. A lovely suite with a lounge, bathroom with jacuzzi bath and a double bedroom. Very nice breakfast also included with lots of choice. A really relaxing and enjoyable stay and great value, would definitely return!

Ate there this evening the muscles starter were was quite good. My main course of scampi however was unbelievably bad, straight out of a freezer bag from a budget supermarket I suspect. I name my feelings known to the young waiter; his response? Simply "oh dear". Well oh dear Red Lion I'll not visit again

We stayed for 2 nights in the attic suite - Room 12, and enjoyed it. The suite is spacious - with a TV in every room (including the bathroom!). Breakfast, service, and the one pub meal we had were as expected - all satisfactory.

Popped in for lunch and meals were OK but nothing to write home about. Also the beers were not kept in tip top condition. Cannot comment on the accommodation as we did not stay. Looks like it relies on passing trade. Better places on A149.

Please ignore the negative reviews - we didn't experience anything that has been written. The service, food and rooms were all excellent. Staff were very friendly and attentive and we didn't once get the impression that they took the guests for granted. Had an evening meal too which was also very good. We had a first rate weekend and would...
