Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We thoroughly our 3 night stay in an excellent dog friendly room. Very comfortable super king bed and great shower. On the first night the food was excellent, beautifully cooked and unusual flavours. On the second night we were disappointed to find the same menu apart from duck legs instead of duck breast. On the third night we were quite frankly more than disappointed to find exactly the same menu again. All three nights the food was well presented but we would hesitate to stay 3 nights again.

Fabulous festive stay at this lovely little hotel . Warm welcome all round - from the hotel team to the roaring log fires . Our room was located in the garden and was very spacious but cosy , with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay . Food was excellent. We enjoyed this in the cosy bar area with an open log fire and Christmas music softly playing in the background- perfect . The team who run this little gem are so friendly and helpful ( particularly when we encountered car trouble resulting in AA call out) - they all appear to love working here and this really translates to the service you receive . We will definitely be back !

Always wanted to stay here since having a meal here a few years ago. It’s a lovely small hotel. We received a free upgrade on arrival. Stayed in room 6 in the main building. Bed very comfortable, Nespresso machine , lovely toiletries. Unfortunately there is a problem with the plumbing, 10:30 pm when just drifting off to sleep there was a loud noise , possibly caused by an airlock, not from our room, possibly from kitchen. At 6:30 am we were woken up again by the same noise which happened repeatedly. When we complained to reception they said no one else has complained. Reading the reviews this has been a problem for years . Such a shame that nothing has been done to resolve it. This has put us off from staying here again.

Beautiful Hotel, lovely rooms and friendly welcoming staff. We used their wheelchair accessible room which was warm, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was great with a walk in shower with a shower over a built in seat and another shower for those able to stand up. The tea and coffee facilities were perfect and the bed very comfortable. After drinks in the bar near the fire we had a delicious meal and breakfast in the morning was great.

A large, very comfortable room. Everything you’d expect with a top notch shower. Restaurant food is excellent - original, interesting and beautifully presented. Excellent breakfasts too, with an extensive range of fresh fruits and interesting cereals. All staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Certainly to be recommended.

My Husband booked this Hotel for my 70th birthday. We arrived on the Friday and left on the Sunday. The lovely log fires in both lounge areas were so cosy . The Room we stayed in was lovely a walk in shower and a seperate bath if needed. The bed was so comfortable. The food on both nights was really lovely and breakfast choice is vast with a lot of local produce . The service throughout the whole hotel was amazing and very friendly.

We have just returned from an excellent Christmas stay. Had a great time, service, food and ambiance all first class. Log fires in lounge areas. Nothing is too much trouble. Room was well furnished and spacious. Lovely walks from the hotel. Will return.

We visited at the end of November and stayed in one of the dog-friendly rooms. Staff were all charming, the room was lovely, and the food simply stunning. Although we arrived quite late the chef was happy to put together a great fruit salad for us, and the whole stay was fabulous. Highly recommended, many thanks to all, and we will be back :)

This was our third visit, but only the second as regular guests as our middle stay in June 2022 included booking the entire venue with rooms for our wedding. Behind the unassuming Victorian brick façade this is a truly delightful boutique hotel with a in relaxing surroundings on the North Norfolk coast. The staff are always friendly yet professional and appear to work as a team that cares about the experience of their guests. The restaurant extends into a large conservatory overlooking the mature gardens serves a breakfast that includes a superb buffet and good quality ingredients in its cooked-to-order options. The evening dining experience in often sublime and comes with a wine list shows both thought and knowledge that seems beyond that of many leading hotels. A much as many other venues can provide a good individual experience, it is not always the same when it comes to hosting an event catering for larger numbers. In the case of our wedding at Titchwell, we found the food, standards of service and effort from the staff deserves nothing but the highest praise. Although we didn’t want to single out any member of staff, we feel a special mention should be made for the barman and extraordinary cocktail-maker Ronaldo for his dancing skills with the bride.
