My husband and I arrived late at night having not being able to reach our booked hotel in Lowestoft due to floods. Marie, the manager, offered us a cut price room for the night and with breakfast included. Stayed up late talking about the history of the pub and her local knowledge. Food and room were excellent, very warm, clean...

Stayed for 3 nights. Food was delicious, breakfast and dinner with really good service. The staff are a credit to the Inn. I can recommend the pub. The rooms were a very good size and the beds comfortable with a great view of the estuary from the window. The room next to ours was being renovated, and I presume ours...

We visited for a birthday lunch with friends. Large car park, east access to the restaurant. We had booked but there were plenty of tables free. Good menu, and many specials, mostly local fish dishes. Pleasant staff, food delicious and arrived in good time.

Popped in before leaving the area for home. Sits next to beautiful mud flats home to hundreds and hundreds of birds. Had a super smoked chicken sandwich sitting at the bar with a lovely glass of wine. Friendly bar staff. Would definitely head back for a proper meal next time we are in the area.

Had a drink this pub previously after doing a circular walk and thought we would try it out for a meal and wasn't disappointed. It was a busy, vibrant Friday evening - obviously popular. Sat by the cosy fire and the food was excellent and all credit to the waiting staff. Would recommend.

Stopped over for two nights for a short break in February. Found the room comfortable and warm, it should be noted that the rooms are on a separate building to the inn. We had an excellent view of over the estuary. Ate in the inn on the second night and the staff were helpful in reserving us a table by...

We had an amazing Sunday Roast here, all home cooked and delicious. The potatoes were obviusly cooked in goose fat and were crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. There were plenty of veggies, gravy and yorkshires. A totally yummy experience, one of the best roasts around!

We stayed here for one night after visiting Dunwich. Warm and friendly welcome. Cosy bar area.Excellent evening meal.Good nights sleep. Yummy breakfast. Plenty of parking. Great location for Aldeburgh / Southwold. The only down side and I'm being picky is the cottage could do with a lick of paint, but it was clean and warm. We will definitely be returning!!

We decided not to cook at home this year,so booked our meal at the White Heart as it was in walking distance of our home.. Well it was truly wonderful. All three of us enjoyed our choices. The service was excellent considering their was not a lot of staff on, every thing arrived piping hot and from a smiling waitress.....
