We were staying in the village & had been for a cold but dry walk to the church. We came in the pub for a quick drink & a warm by the amazing fire. We were so comfortable that we decided to stay for lunch. We hadn't booked (which is advisable) but they allowed us a table until the next...

Our forst visit fopr a couple of years and we were really pleased to see how much the venue had improved. A freindly welcome, good service, good beer and a wonderful meal at a reasonable cost. We shall return when we are next on holiday in the area.

We had a lovely 1 night stay here. We couldn't find accommodation in Southwold for a private party so close the White Hart as it was a taxi drive away. The location is perfect, right next to the River Blythe nature reserve and with beautiful views from both the restaurant and the room (we stayed in room 3). We loved...

A delicious Sunday lunch on a freezing December day was made up of a generous portion of beautifully fresh sprays landed at nearby Southwold followed by quite stunning Pork from the renowned local producer.

Stayed again for three nights and room was the same as before. Unfortunately although warm and the beds comfortable enough the room and bathroom were sorely in need of a refurbish. The carpet was filthy and the room was not serviced until pointed out! The restaurant we recommend. The staff very helpful and the food hot and the choice varied....

And we waited and we waited and we waited, they then realised the order had not gone through to to the kitchen, nobodies fault...

We had wanted to stay in Southwold but couldn't get a room on a last minute booking, so decided to stay here. Thank goodness we did! Lovely large room with stunning views of the river. Clean and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the pub - excellent Adnams beer, superb food sitting in...

Our original pub choice wasn't serving food so the barman recommended The White Hart. Beautiful setting, very attentive, friendly staff. We were lucky to get the last two Roast Beef dinners (other customers after us had obviously pre-ordered). I can honestly say I haven't enjoyed a roast as much for a long time. Meat, veg, gravy (extra supplied without asking!)...

The White Heart is our local pub and we have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff are lovely as are the owners. The chap behind the bar in particular is very efficient and has great customer service. However, this evening we were really disappointed with the quality of the food. The sirloin steak was as tough as...

Visited Sunday lunchtime. Ordered two beef Sunday lunches. Waited 45 minutes for food. Beef really tough and couldn't get knife through it. Potatoes really hard as well. Think maybe this pub is overrated. Wouldn't eat there again
