We stayed here for one night for my partners birthday. It was really lovely and we will definitely be back.
The room was very spacious with everything you need includong complimentary water and filter coffee.

We had a sea view and a little balcony.

Shower was great and good quality soaps etc in the bathroom.

Whole place was spotlessly clean, staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. We stayed on a Sunday night so I had the roast beef dinner it was incredible. There was a great selection for breakfast including lots of variety cereals for gluten free too. Very impressed.

Overall a great place with a great atmosphere. Would recommend.

My wife, Julia, and I have just spent a night, at he Fludyers Hotel, on the seafront in Felixstowe, near Cobbolds Point. It was in every way a delight. The room facing the sea was a sensational, with a lovely balcony, two sitting areas, a huge bed and a lovely bath and separate shower.

The staff’s attention to detail re Covid protection was the best I have seen, with clear instructions for getting round the building and every utensil cellophane wrapped.

Plus the food was tremendous. In the evening we had tempura king prawns with a sweet chilli dip which was heavenly and my fish and chips had the freshest tasting fish I have ever had.

Truly a great hotel, newly refurbished and recommended without reservation.

We stayed for two nights in late September, having visited the hotel in the past for lunch and drinks. Everything from check in to check out was perfect. The room was spotless and had clearly been thoroughly cleaned; even the TV remote had been sanitised and placed in a secure wrapper! All staff were attentive and friendly and worked hard to make us feel welcome. The full English breakfast was cooked to a high standard and was HUGE - didn't need anything until our equally delicious evening meal. Plenty of effort had been put in to ensure social distancing which made us feel comfortable. I highly recommend The Fludyers and we will certainly be going back.

Very convenient for 8 of us to stay close to the Tennis club for a family function. Able to check in from 2pm but limited parking so some if us had to find parking near the hotel. Two of our guests had to be upgraded as they had a room not suitable for them. We stayed in the annex and it was beautifully furnished but we could not get the shower to function and had to use the fan provided as it was so hot. The lovely drinks provided in the room and biscuits were a treat but a bigger bin would of been great. We had breakfast included in our stay but the cost for a full breakfast is very expensive our son joined us who was not a guest and I really do not think what you got was great value plus drinks were extra. This was the ideal location and close to the seafront but not the best service or value

As our wedding wasn’t able to go ahead due to Covid-19 we decided to spoil ourselves on what would have been our wedding night with a stay at Fludyers.

We were in room 11 which was sea facing with a small balcony on the top floor. The room was immaculate with all the niceties of a top class hotel room.

We had dinner in the restaurant my non-wife had a salmon special (which was nice but slightly over priced) and I had falafel burger (best I’ve ever had). Service was safe, courteous but understandably slow in these crazy times. Plus it was very busy as it was a hot and sunny day.

After a comfortable and peaceful nights sleep we feasted on scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast on the patio overlooking the sea. Service was relaxed and personal.

All in all a great stay, in a perfect location with staff who made us feel safe and looked after.

My only disappointment was that I had emailed to let the hotel know it was our non-wedding night which was not responded to. We did however get a bottle of champagne delivered to our room, from my mother!!!

We had a one night stay for 18th August. What a great find this hotel was. I booked one of the premium sea facing rooms with balcony and it was a fantastic room. A really nice sized balcony with table and chairs and it was lovely to be able to sit outside at midnight as the weather was so warm and listen to the sounds of the sea and watch the lights on the ships out at sea.
The rooms are a really decent size and well appointed and the choices of complimentary artisan teas and coffees (and biscuits) was first class.
We had a couple of drinks in the bar and on the sea facing terrace and it was again a nice surprise to find that the drinks were average prices.
We didn't eat in the restaurant the evening we stayed, but the breakfast was brilliant. Genuinely the best and most comprehensive Full English breakfast I've had at any hotel and my other half had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on sourdough toast. The salmon portion was extremely generous and she was said it was some of the best she'd had anywhere.
Our sea facing room with balcony and the breakfasts, worked out to be only £15 more expensive than staying at the Premier Inn in the town centre. I honestly think that Fludyer's is a real find and I highly recommend a stay here..... oh, and the staff are brilliant, friendly and helpful too.

We visit Felixstowe 4-5 times a year and whenever we have passed Fludyers I've always thought it always looked nice, so instead o getting my family presents for Xmas I got them a stay at the hotel. I have to say that it's probably the best hotel we've stayed at,
The building has lots of character and is nicely furnished and decorated. , We had 2 of the larger rooms at the front, with a sea view and balcony with seating (we stayed over Xmas so didn't sit out there, but I would imagine on a sunny evening it would be great )
The room was a good size, everything you would need to make yourself at home, with a great shower and bathroom, and an absolutely fantastic bed, it has to be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.
The food in the restaurant was excellent and all the staff were friendly, helpful and very good at their job.
The prices for both the room and the food were extremely reasonable, my family loved it and we will be back for another visit soon

From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were attentive and couldn’t have done more. The rooms are all slightly different and the guests needs are considered from a well stocked tea and coffee offering to a well thought out and spacious room and bathroom. Sea views from the room and the ability to sit on the terrace at a gorgeous location on the front. The food in the restaurant and the drinks met the same high standards and the meals we had were tasty and staff knowledgable when asked about specific dietary needs. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

Just had a wonderful 3 night stay at The Fludyers. The room was spotless and the hotel offers rooms with some of the best views you can find of the Suffolk Coast Line.

The food was delicious. The salt and pepper prawns on the bar menu are amazing and I can’t recommend highly enough the incredible Maple Pork Tenderloin on the restaurant menu, prepared by the very talented chef, David.

The friendly and hardworking team that work here made the stay a joy and I can’t wait to return. Special thanks to Mike, Sam, Jake, Poppy and Simona. See you all soon. Tracy x

We booked this hotel for a short break away from home and found it to be excellent. It is located on the sea front in a quiet location. We booked room 6 which has a balcony overlooking the sea at the front of the hotel. The room is large and the bed looks straight out of the window. The bathroom is also large with bad and separate shower. The whole decor of the hotel is fresh and well maintained.
The staff are on the whole very young but they have been well trained and are very polite and attentive, we were very impressed by them.
We ate in the restaurant on one night and found the food to be good. The menu appeared a little restricted but recent experience seems to show that restaurants are being cautious with food at the moment which is understandable with covid and the unpredictability of life at the moment.
The hotel is in an excellent position, right on the sea front, it really is worth paying the extra for a balcony room at the front. Turn left out of the hotel and you are soon in the country walking along the beach. Turn right and you’re in the seafront, seaside area on the town. Both directions have their own distinct character.
Felixstowe is an attractive town and the seafront is still quaint, with interesting buildings and well maintained public gardens.
Although we only live 50 miles away we will be back and certainly staying at this hotel. In many ways it is better than the popular town of Southwold up the road which is overpriced and over busy. We save our visits there to nice days off season as we only live a short distance away.
