So I decided to stay for my 40th birthday and wanted something special! I got that 100 times over! Walked into the reception there are clear marks on the floor for social distancing a lovely man named Josh checked us in he was very polite and I felt assured the hotel was meeting standards before I even checked.

I noticed no tables for breakfast as it’s take away now if wanted so no gatherings around breakfast covid19 check ✅

As I was walking towards our room I noticed corner of my eye that Josh was wiping down where we was the counter even tho we didn’t touch it covid19 check ✅

We noticed a sign for lifts that only 1 family to go in at a time clear sign to meet covid19 check ✅

There are also hand sanitiser for any guests on every floor covid19 check ✅

Our room was light airy and smelt lovely and fresh the linen was spotless (first thing I check in hotels) enough pillows for me and my family, partner and son.

Bathroom again spotless enough clean towels and shampoo and shower gel well stocked up. (2nd thing I check) Toilet spotless!

The tea caddy was clean as was the kettle and the table it stood on cause I do like my tea (3rd thing I check) There is enough tea for the average person however I love me tea I can drink 4 cups in an hour so I requested extra tea from the lovely cleaning girls even tho their job I should imagine is more busier and extra cause of this pandemic they were very polite and couldn’t be anymore helpful! Social distance was adhered too whilst tea exchange went on covid19 check ✅

The room in general was spotless!

When I checked out there was a box to put key so I didn’t have to go near anyone I did however wave at the staff as I wasn’t leaving as they made my stay a much enjoyable stay within the covid rules!

I did read whilst booking that if your staying more than 1 night the cleaners will not enter your room until you have been there a couple more days which I think is really good at not possibly contaminating anyone’s belongings well done Travelodge for doing that.

Travelodge manager and head housekeeper should be really proud of their staff they went above and beyond!

I have been staying at the this travelodge for work for the last 5 years, with trips up to a month at a time living my best Alan Partridge life. I consider it my home away from home. My team and collegues all stay there when we are working on projects up there, and I always recommend it too.

The place is immaculately clean, the rooms are warm, and there's no traffic. On business trips you just want a comfy bed and no fuss. When the bar was open in non Covid times they had a great selection of flavoured Gins, beers, guiness of tap, and a selection of dinner options. Vegan sausages and oatmilk is also provided on request for breakfast.

This Travelodge's greatest asset is their staff, the Assisant manager *Emily is an extremely hardworker, responsive and professional. In my small brief interactions it's always been a pleasure and every need is met promptly. The rest of the staff is also all impeccable.

There is a fantastic Lithuianium restuarant next door, that serves healthy comfort food that gets you through the hard projects. The Travelodge (tm) Beds and Pillows are absolutely perfect and consistent around the country, I have become more accustomed to these more than my bed at home.

I travel alot all around the world, and when I'm in Haverhill it's all about getting down to business and the Travelodge provides just that. If you're looking for a place to stay on your travels and need a reliable comfortable place with a room that's always available look no further.

Just what we wanted, a clean and tidy room, Comfortable bed and an easy check in and out at a very low price. We stayed two nights. The rooms aren’t valeted (Covid) but fresh towels or tea etc can be supplied if requested. Overall very good value.

Stayed in Haverhill for two nights at the weekend. After encountering staff at check in more interested in chatting between themselves than serving customers we found our room clean if soulless and lacking teabags. Out all day we came back to our room, tired,at 10pm to find that the cleaners had not even been close! never known that before in all my years of hotel stays. Made our own bed and salvaged the towels from the floor...Couldn't get out of there quickly enough on Sunday morning. No staff to complain to anyway. Victor.

Stayed at the hotel for couple nights for work. Staff were very friendly on reception. I was stuck for buying food as the restaurant is currently closed but the receptionist had pointed out the table with all the takeaway menus on in town which all delivered to the hotel. Sanitisers are in place throughout reception with masks signs too. It was very reassuring to find the staff challenging guests who weren’t wearing masks. Room was very clean and warm with the radiator on ready for arrival. I felt very safe staying here. Thanks Haverhill

We paid £25 per night on a Friday and Saturday in August, we really can’t complain. Admittedly you get what you pay for, it was basic but clean and well equipped. I believe no rooms have a bath so maybe something to consider if you have children but the walk in shower sufficed. Walkable to shops, Whetherspoon, town, supermarket etc. It is located near to a main road so you can hear road noise if you open the window may not be ideal for light sleepers but overall great value and we would stay here again. No housekeeping is taking place during stays less than 6 nights I believe due to Covid measures, if you need anything extra or towels you can ask at reception.

My room had not been properly cleaned for my arrival
The remote control for the TV did not look as though it had been cleaned since before the lockdown, never mind the supposed Travelodge Protect deep clean they claim they do.
There were still crumbs on the desk top and chair, the kettle was dirty, and the light switches were grubby. I did not feel safe in the room and spent 30 minutes cleaning it myself.
Complete lack of hygiene standards and consideration for the customer.
I have stopped in two other travelodges since they re-opened and they were fine
This Hotel however does not meet basic cleaning standards never mind current additional measures - not a Covid safe hotel

We went to Haverhill travelodge for the first time and it was a lovely stay. We managed to get a good deal online and the room was spacious and clean. The bar and restaurant wasn’t open but we went to the pub next door which was convenient. The hotel has sanitisers and screens at reception which made me feel at ease. Close into the town centre. Staff was helpful when needed. The assistant manager was stunning

One of the worst experiences in terms of service. Arrived after 6 hours travelling to be told that there was no water and did we still want to stay. There was no communication prior to arrival and it was 8pm at night and we had been travelling with a 2 year old. I asked what the alternative was and the receptionist just shrugged.
We were provided bottles of water and a bucket to flush the toilet with. It took over 24 hours before we had any water. We stayed for 2 nights, after the 1st night I asked to speak to a manager for a refund, she was unavailable. On checkout I asked the same thing, was told she was not available. Instead the breakfast waitress took my number and promised I would get a phone call. Nothing. I called Travelodge direct, they told me to send an email. I have sent 3 emails and had no response for four months.
No guest should have stayed in a hotel with no water whatsoever. It is a fundamental amenity you expect from anywhere you stay, a bed and water facilities.
There was zero communication prior to arrival, throughout our stay and after departure.
This is a very convenient hotel to visit family but will not be staying again.

I stayed at the Travelodge Haverhill with some concern over what it would be like, as it had been closed.
I need not have worried, it was just fine. Clean, tidy and a great place to stay.
I was greeted warmly and everything explained, especially special measures that had been put in for Covid19.
My room was comfortable, well maintained and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was in a box for the time being, which you collect from reception. This ensures that when you get it the milk for the cornflakes is nice and cold.
A really good stay
