Privately owned and lovingly restored country house set in 5 acres of mature gardens set alongside the River Lark. A hidden gem nestled on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border, in the picturesque village of Worlington. The Hall is undergoing a full refurbishment and will offer a range of dining and drinking experiences, from bar snacks and brasserie classics to family fare and fine dining. Providing the perfect backdrop to your special occasion, be that a family celebration, impromptu drinks, romantic dinners or a sneaky nightcap. The Hall is situated between Cambridge, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds, all of which offer beautiful spots of attraction and are well worth a visit. The renovation has seen the development of the Birnam Bar, Piano Bar, Restaurant and our Private Dinning room. Each of these areas provide you with a different experience at The Hall and we recommend you give them all a try when you come to visit. Our River Bar is open from March till October and enjoys views along the River Lark. Our rooms aren't quite ready yet, but will be available early 2022.

The restoration carried out so far is excellently. The main restaurant and terrace overlooking the grounds is in progress along with the cocktail bar. Anything you read before the new owners ignore completely. The restaurant is now being served in a beautifully restored room which will become a private dinning room. Bedrooms is in progress to follow.
The service is attentive and friendly. The food is amazingly presented and is very tasty. Starters of pig checks, haddock croquettes, chicken liver, Burrata, tomatoes etc. Rosemary Focaccia with oils. Mains of Sunday roast beef nice juice beef large Yorkshire puddings and plenty of veg. Angus beef burgers with bacons which are large and come with salted fries. Roasted cod with brown shrimps. All were Fantastic and soon devoured
Book yourself for a meal you will not be disappointed. There is nice bar for a drink too. We wish the new owners all the best for the future.

Last Saturday, (11/06/2022) We attended a family celebration in the private dining room here. It was our first trip there, and immediately on arrival, we were very impressed. From the moment we walked up onto the lovely outdoor terrace to find our way to the bar, to the last few seconds before we went home that night, we were dealt with my management and staff that really know their jobs, and who know how to deliver first-class customer service.
The meal, served to around 30 people who had made various choices in advance, was absolutely delicious, and also piping hot where appropriate. The organiser and his waiting staff managed to deliver each course to all the diners with the minimum of delay, and no fuss whatsoever. The drinks were kept flowing too, and nothing was too much trouble for every member of staff we encountered during the four hours we were there.
This is an establishment that knows how to make customers feel welcome, as well as removing any chance of stress from a big occasion. I cannot recommend it more highly, and we will definitely be visiting again.

Wow! what an amazing transformation! The Worlington hall has new owners and they have really put their stamp on the hotel. They have created an amazing romantic setting down by the River which features the 'Riverside bar' which they have cleverly turned an old horse trailer into a bar which boasts a great choice of Gins, Wines, Beers etc. Down by the Riverside it also has a marquee with beautiful lighting, fire pit and great choice of music.

The hotel itself is still undergoing its transformation and were lucky enough to have a tour. The bars and dining rooms have been restored and brought back to life keeping its original features. From the floors to the ceilings so much care has been put back into the hotel and is a credit to the local area.

We cant wait to return and book our stay at the Worlington and could not recommend a better place to stay.

We stayed at Worlington Hall for three nights and have to say it's a great place. Our room was ready for our arrival, we were given a warm welcome and taken to our room. The room was spotlessly clean and the furnishings were perfect, the bottle of prosecco was a lovely touch. The Hall is set in lovely well kept grounds and there is a beautiful outdoor seating area to the rear of the Hall. We ate in the restaurant on two nights and the food was lovely, it's a very popular place, I would recommend booking in advance. The hotel is next to a busy road, our room was at the front of the Hall so we did hear road noise, this didn't bother us at all, but some people might be put off. Breakfast was very good. All in all this is a great place to stay, the owners and staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. We will certainly be looking to stay again when we're in the area for the races.

We booked the afternoon Jubilee tea on the lawn. Weather sunny an warm. The setting by the river Lark is peaceful. The picnic is brought to you in a wicker hamper, includes sandwiches, sausage rolls, small eclairs, cheese and fruit scone with jam and cream and strawberries and cream. (see pics). The only problem was the is should have come with tea or coffee which we paid for but were not offered or actually seen over people with their drinks. This maybe an oversight, a bit better organisation is needed. That aside a first rate venue and grounds great place for a afternoon drinks, snacks or meal. Nice to see most of the renovations are nearing completion, some grounds work and bedrooms are left to complete I understand. What a change from the rundown hotel building and grounds they took over. All credit to the owners for that hard work.

We stayed for three nights in the Henry room it has a four poster bed and is nicely decorated. The en-suite shower room is very small but manageable. The bed is only a double size but very comfortable. There is a fridge in the cupboard which was filled with fresh milk a mini bottle of Prosecco and a bottle of water everyday. The small things we found could have improved our stay was no hangers were provided in the wardrobe although there was plenty of drawer space. The room is small but we loved it. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it was really good the dining area is very nice. The food and wine excellent Breakfast was a little odd… You are given a menu with limited cooked choices. Fine if you like full English or poached eggs. No scrambled eggs or fresh fruit available although there was a yoghurt with fruit compote and granola but unfortunately they had run out of it. Just my thoughts. We would however recommend this hotel the location great and staff are very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at Worlington Hall for a week while in the area for work. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! The property is charming, quaint, and elegant! I stayed in the Henry room. The rooms are all decorated with antique pieces. The bed was comfortable. The extra amenities were an added bonus to include a mini fridge, hot tea/coffee/cookies in the room, and daily cleaning of the room with fresh towels. The food offered at the restaurant in Worlington Hall will impress any foodie! I had the opportunity to try several breakfast, lunch and dinner entrées. Each dish was a unique flavor combination and delicious. I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding! The eggs benedict and avocado toast from the breakfast menu were also outstanding. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I had the pleasure to meet the owners, who were delightful and welcoming. The property had a beautiful green space with a walking trail and access to sit by a small river. The experience was elegant and fit for royalty! My stay at Worlington Hall was fantastic and I will definitely be back! Worlington hall left the best impression with trustworthy hospitable owners and staff.

What can I say ! This is down as one of best b&bs I have had the pleasure of staying in , From the time we walk in we were made to feel comfortable and was welcome by chad i think who is a credit to team Worlington. Every part of the building is designed to perfection some of the best interior design I have seen , also spotless and would also like to add the lady who served us breakfast is kind helpful and made our stay a happy one . The owners of this b&b should be proud of what thay have achieved because clearly time love and hard work is what makes this what it x will be back

Let me start by saying the refurbishment of this building is absolutely wonderful and the attention to detail is amazing.
As a couple and as a family we have eaten at Worlington Hall on five occasions. On every SINGLE occasion it has been exceptional . The food quality is impressive but more than the service is by far the best I have experienced for many many years. You feel totally spoilt and the staff just cannot do enough for you. We always look forward to going and see this as very much a special experience. We commend the management for visuallising what this building should be and making it a wonderful special place. We wish you so much success.

5 Star! We decided to travel a bit further afield than our usual and this Hotel/Restaurant did not disappoint. Having come across this establishment on Instagram, me and my partner were joined by 4 friends and decided to give it a try.

Venue: Amazing interior and exterior, a lot of effort and hard work has clearly gone into the venue and also smells amazing! Christmas decs are up and looks fantastic. The fire was it which makes it very cosey in one of the smaller bar area.

Drinks: Great selection of wines, spirits and beers! Some reviews have said the prices are a little high but they are very average compared to the places we go to.

Food: Great quality of food. Chilli and Garlic King Prawns were amazing! I also had the fillet of Beef which was cooked to perfection! Our friends all said their meals were cooked great.

After the meal we went and sat in one of the bars which is decorated in a dark Blue room with amazing features such as the lights, sofas, fireplace.

I spoke to the owners at the bar who were welcoming and wanted to make sure we had a good night! We cant wait to visit again and fully recommend the Worlington Hall!!

Hi there, unfortunately all our accommodation rooms are on the first floor and due to the age of the building we are unable to have lifts installed. The bars and restaurants are all on the ground floor and accessible by wheelchair with one small step into the entrance.
