We’ve stayed here a number of times and never been disappointed. The rooms are clean enough and the food is just ok ( for me, that is ) I’m a normal food kind of person . I just want good old home made grub like mince and dumplings, steak and ale pie, that sort of thing. However, not everyone’s like me and I understand people do like posh nosh. That’s not the hotels fault is it? What makes this place special is the staff. They are just so friendly and down to earth. They really do want you to have the best time here and will go out of their way for you to make that happen. If you’re not happy about something, just say. They really will try their best. Unless , of course, you're just a professional complainer and nothing is going to please you🤷‍♀️ It was my birthday yesterday and Suzanne and Marie came to me with flowers chocolates and a card singing Happy Birthday to me. I mean they’ll never get through to Judges houses but I loved it!! Thanks as always to Laura for the best breakfast in town. I know she doesn’t cook it, but we love her friendliness. Never change Laura. Thank you all for a great stay . You’re the best! Xx

We dropped in not knowing what to expect, we hadn't booked but Marie kindly sent us to a nice table and continued to look after us the whole night. The food was seriously impressive, we had white bait and ham hock terrine for starter both a good size and great taste. Mains was scampi and sea bass, good ingredients made it extra tasty and topped off with a Guinness cheese cake! A hidden gem for great food - thank you!

Fantastic hotel. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Everyone was so friendly and lovely. The chef even went out of his way to get more belly pork, once he found out it was my favourite and they had run out. Great stay would highly recommend. I hope to stay again. Thank you to all the team x

I’ve been coming to the riverside for many years and my experience has always been great. Most recently I got married and the whole day was amazing from start to finish. The team were professional and worked super hard to ensure everything was perfect for us. The food was absolutely amazing, we opted for a BBQ and it tasted delicious. The room we stayed in was lovely and spacious and of course we got a garden faced room so enjoyed the view. Breakfast in the morning was lovely too. Suzanne in the restaurant was absolutely amazing as always, kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything and was all ok. All the hard work you put into making sure everything was 100% perfect. Jonathan the manager you are amazing too, you were on hand the whole day to make sure everything was running smoothly and on time. Thank you for dealing with my million requests and ensuring I had plenty of shots. We will be back for more shots with you soon. The whole venue was absolutely perfect, we had the best day from start to finish. Honestly you guys are the best! Thank you so much. I’ll definitely be back soon ❤️

Lovely staff, especially Laura, she was absolutely lovely (sorry about the Coco pops Laura 🤭). If you're plane spotting it's only a 20 minute walk from RAF Mildenhall. Easy bus routes to RAF Lakenheath. Will definitely return felt very welcome.

After reading online and a call to Rachel we chose this hotel to hold a small get together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was a superb choice. The staff were all exceedingly helpful and the facilities were just what we wanted. Well appointed rooms, comfortable lounges and bars while the food was good quality and generously portioned. Restaurant and bar service could not be faulted! Thank you for a memorable weekend, Kay & Ken.

We booked this hotel 2 months before as the rooms looked good. We arrived at 10:30pm and were told we were in one of the outhouses. The room had no working heating and the door had nearly an inch gap all the way around so the wind was blasting in. The bedroom was large but the bed was very small. We do not understand why we were given this room, considering we booked 2 months prior. We complained the next morning and got an apology, but that was it. Breakfast was really good and made up partly for such a bad night. I would only use this hotel on the promise of a room actually in the hotel.

We are very sorry you was so disappointed, unfortunately we was unable to move you to a room inside the hotel as we were fully booked. Although you booked months in advance the room booked was a standard double, of which we have two standard doubles both which are located outside the premises. I will attend to issues raised revolving around the door as of immediate affect. If you wish for to rebook in the future and would like an inside room. Please contact myself at the hotel and i will give you a complimentary upgrade. Kind Regards Jonathan Crisp.

We visited the Riverside today for the Easter Egg hunt. Julie (manager) was great with the children, hosting the games while the parents relaxed in the beautiful garden. Suzanne, as usual, was an incredible waitress. We have been visiting the Riverside for 16 years and it truly wouldn’t be the same without Suzanne. The food was delicious and service five star. Thank you, again, to the Riverside ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
