Just completed a little job in Snape, family came over to give me a hand, on impulse decided to find somewhere for lunch. The Crown was near by, nice big car park which could take my van and trailer, lots of farm animals in the fields behind, which some end up on the menu, had a very nice meal, they...

We spent two nights here with our dog Huckleberry, and arrived with a degree of trepidation as he is a young dog, we were anxious no to disturb others with his over exuberant personality. We were met with such a welcome that we were immediately put at our ease. The staff were extremely professional and welcoming both with us and...

This was our first visit to Suffolk and having arrived on Saturday we attended the Food and Drink festival and in the evening had a relaxing pint in the Crown. Its a traditional country pub which welcomes dogs and offers typical pub grub at reasonable prices. We both chose the chicken Kiev which was delicious. Service is excellent and the...

Brought some friends this time and none of us were disappointed. The new menu is really good. Highlight is the beetroot tarte tatin with goat's cheese ice cream. And all the home- reared pork dishes are good too as usual. And the desserts. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented and good service too.

This is the first time we have visited and were not disappointed. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and a smile. The service was exceptional and although there were available tables they were busy also in the bar. This is the first time I had three courses and did not feel bloated afterwards..... I felt comfortable and there was...

The landlord was charming on the phone when we asked to have dinner at 5.30pm prior to going to a concert at Snape. We arrived and we were immediately shown to a cosy semi circular settle The staff are good, food sooooooo relish. The porky platter (from their own piggies) was divine and the fresh crab was fresh and full...

We normally eat at the Sail and Plough just up the road, but on this occasion they were fully booked so we moved on to the Crown and boy were we grateful. The food is exceptional. All food is fresh, veg from their own garden and allotment, pork form their own pigs , lamb from own sheep, all at very...

Dropped in on the off chance, no problem finding a table for 3 of us. Staff very friendly and service very quick even though the pub was busy. Tasty, freshly cooked food (steak and fish and chips). Only down side is a limited menu that really only suited meat eaters, vegetarians would struggle.

We were looking for somewhere to eat before a concert at the nearby Snape Maltings. Even though they'd only just opened on a Sunday evening the kitchen churned out top notch grub promptly so we had no worries about being late for our show. Even the sausage and mash was so fresh it was like a boutique dish. Staff were...

Make sure you're hungry when visiting this beautiful inn as the food and beer are superb. We stayed in Snape for a week and had three evening meals here. All were excellent. Flavoursome lamb, succulent pork and seasonal veg are reared/grown on adjoining land by the delightful husband and wife owners and the husband's the chef too - they both...
