This was our fortieth wedding anniversary trip and we had never been to Southwold before. The room was warm and comfortable throughout our stay. We had three good nights rest in the large roomy bed and three excellent breakfasts which lasted us all day!! The evening meals were gourmet standard and couldn't be faulted. The staff at the Blythe hotel...

We stayed at the Blyth Hotel as part of a Groupon deal on the eve of Wed 10th April 2013. We booked 2 rooms as 2 couples and found that our room had been upgraded, which was very pleasing. We found all the staff to be friendly and efficient. The resident's lounge was well furnished and a comfortable place to...

We stayed here for 2 nights on a rather wet weekend. Our room was spacious and provided everything we needed for a weekend away. We would concur with other comments that the hotel is in need of decorating but it was clean and comfortable. Don't be put off from the outside, especially if arriving from the side road as the...

We stayed 6 and 7 April, during the Easter break. The hotel looks a bit tired and in need of a visit by the decorators. The menu on the Sunday night was exactly the same as the previous night and, unlike then, it took over 2 hours to serve the food. We don't eat meat and we were disappointed by...

The weather may have been decidedly unpredictable in Southwold but the welcome was warm and sunny at the Blythe. Our family of 3 and bella the dog were made to feel at home at the Blythe. Bedrooms comfy and clean, bar area fresh and welcoming (cos we had bella we ate brekkie and dinner here and the food was fab)....

We stayed here on a deal cloud voucher. There is limited parking behind the hotel, but plenty of parking on the street alongside it. On arrival we were greeted immediately by the cheerful and pleasant receptionist. Our room was on the second floor. It was of average size, but not cramped at all. Ample storage and a clean bathroom with...

We stayed at the Blyth Hotel from Easter Monday to the Friday to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. The hotel is in a very convenient position, only a short walk from the pier and the town centre, with a small car park and street parking. Our room was no. 9, in a quiet position on the second floor. We found...

Have stayed here before and enjoyed a lovely winters weekend. This time though service seamed a little in decline . Just not as good as it was . Waited 1 hr for a table in the evening even after booking it for 8pm. Breakfast Buffett not what it used to be either no fresh fruit or coulis to go with...

Just returned from a 2 night stay dinner, bed & breakfast break with our 14 month daughter. The staff in the hotel were very kind and couldn't do enough to make sure our little one was happy at mealtimes. As always the food was very good and the room was clean with all the facilities you need. This is our...

I booked a stay at Blyth Hotel for my 11 year old daughter and myself on a whim, as it appeared on Groupon. We had a really lovely time for a number of reasons: we were warmly welcomed, and immediately sat down to a very nice, reasonably priced lunch after our drive from Cambridge. We hadn't booked and it was...
