We were booked in for just 1 night and arrived at 8pm in the pitch dark but as we parked outside we were greeted by Alan who welcomed us and gave us a quick tour of the Stables. Built in the 1700s the building and rooms have lots of charming features. Our room was large and spacious with a en-suite which had both bath and separate shower cubicle. We had a really good nights sleep and in the morning Kate cooked us a wonderful full English breakfast. Next time we are in the area we will definitely stay again. It would have been even better if they had a electric car charging point!!
We have just returned from a two night stay for 3 at the Stables. Beautiful location in the middle of the Penham estate. Katie and Alan were lovely and engaging hosts. The Blyburgh room is roomy with high vaulted and beamed ceiling. It was very comfortable, although a little warm. This is a dog friendly B&B and we were allowed to bring our dog to breakfast. The dining room is spacious, and cooked breakfasts were great! Katie and Alan have been scrupulous in their attention to detail on making the B&B as Covid- secure as possible and we felt very safe the whole time we were there.
We have just spent a night here, following a visit to the gorgeous Southwold. The setting is spectacular, within acreage of parkland on the Henham estate. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. There’s a games lounge with a range of board games and DVDs and the view from the dining room is gorgeous. It’s pet friendly too. Will definitely be returning!
We weren’t disappointed such a lovely place, rooms are fab,so spacious vaulted ceilings ,loads of character through the building, huge dining room for breakfast which was really good ,so much choice ,and freshly made ,well presented by our hosts who looked after us very well ,it’s such a lovely setting even though we came in October and the weather wasnt at it’s best ,we could still enjoy a stroll around the grounds and spot the wildlife ,we would certainly stay here again ,we enjoyed a drink in the lounge area ,which has an honesty bar ,quite a nice touch to end the night ,I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a special treat away ,everything is in place for your safety with the Covid situation ,that’s explained fully on arrival, which we appreciated
This was our second visit to this wonderful place .First visit was just ourselves but this visit we took our Granddaughter who fell in love with the place as well to the extent that she has told Mummy and Daddy that they need to take her back as it is her new house😊 The room was spotless , breakfast was superb and host Alan and Katie are very welcoming . The location is peaceful, has beautiful view and is very convenient for visiting local beauty spots . Please visit it for yourselves you will not be disappointed
