I’m afraid it was an awful break, yes I lost some weight, but surviving on appro 500 calories a day of mainly raw food ,would mean anyone would lose weight and on returning home and being very careful with food and doing exercise,I put half the weight loss back within a week The

I went right back to the old habits! I have been to other retreats/spas and none can beat this place for stinginess and severity. And I lost the same as those other more nurturing places -7lb. (see previous review). If you choose to go, and I would advise against it, take an

Im 59 and had put on 3 stone in a year (yes I’m greedy) I didn’t want to just lose the weight I wanted to get back my fitness and change some habits. I booked in for 3 weeks after my friend recommended this place. I was a little nervous as I knew it would be hard work and I had

Dear Friend, Absolutely the first thing to say are our congratulations on your fabulous results from your stay here. To not only have lasted the whole three weeks but to have remained so positive and been just lovely to have been around, is an amazing show of great character. Your lovely comments about the team will be passed on to everyone, thank you. You’re absolutely right when you state that it’s up to the individual to do the work, sadly just signing up does not get you where you want to be! How lovely that would be, but no, it comes down to hard work and determination. The difference here at Slimmeria is it’s done with the support of our passionate and positive team here to help and guide you through our very successful and sometimes, challenging programme. Again, many congratulations and remember, stay on course! The Slimmeria Team

For me staying in Slimmeria was an ideal break. The Grade 2 building is very stylishly decorated with period features and surrounded by vineyard where you can walk in your spare time and be with your own thoughts. Food was delicious and very well planned with organic vegetables

Dear Friend, Such fabulous results, you obviously committed to our programme and that paid off for you. Thank you for your lovely comments, it’s always lovely to read such positivity and all comments are always passed onto our team. The Slimmeria team love supporting our guests and watching the change in them as their stay with us comes to an end. Keep up the good work, remember, the longevity of results worked so hard for, last only as long as our lifestyle changes last and you’re certainly on the right road for that being a long time. Kindest regards, The Slimmeria Team

This really is the perfect way to kick start a health or diet plan, or lost weight for a wedding etc. It is very strict and the food is boring. However everything else is good and you meet some nice people along the way who are going through the same as ou. You don't feel

Dear Friend,7 You achieved your great results because you were motivated and listened to what was needed from you to get the most out of your stay with us, so very well done. It was a pleasure seeing you tackle everything head on, even your more challenging days. We do “stick to our guns” over delivering our product, we’d be cheating everyone if we didn’t, so thank you for trusting us! Of course we’d argue that our food isn’t boring, but, we accept that that is subjective! You know what we’re going to say...it’s a means to an end, reintroducing lots of clients to good, clean, nutritious food with no additives, and more importantly, it works. You’re quite right, good boots are essential, especially at this time of year, if one’s feet hurt or are soaked through on a walk, it’s miserable and de motivating. Keep up the good work and stay motivated. You’re doing brilliantly, which for us, is always good to hear about such good progress when guests have left us, thank you. Kindest regards, The Slimmeria Team

Bedroom costs some £850 pounds for 3 days 4 nights - total rip off
It kicked started healthier eating & walking but it is a starvation routine, after living on 450 Cal's per day, you are going to put weight back on its impossible not to. But it definitely helped me get back on the right track, I'm strong willed most the time anyway, the reason I went is if just been eating crap for 6mnth while finishing a MA. So it was the kick I needed but if your not strong willed in the 1st place Slimeria isn't going to help you in the long run as they don't teach you anything. It definitely works short term if you don't cheat while you are there (people do!!). I would do it if you've thought about it, we all need something for ourselves, it could change your life or at the very least it will give you the confidence to know you can do it if you try. Good luck.

They give you about 400-450 Cal's per day. Typical day= hot water with lemon 1 extremely thin slice of apple, walk, fruit juice, exercise class followed by yoga. Lunch -salad, mainly cabbage. Fruit in afternoon is the quantity of approx 3 strawberries. Dinner is the most revolting, warm (not hot) veggies always boiled in something disgusting that I could not put my finger on. As far as I could make out, other than the juice there is no nutritional value in any of the food, they do it coz it's cheap & you are guaranteed to loose weight on such little food. Hope this helps

What is the price per week for cheap room?
You better contact Slimmeria direct because prices vary according to the time of the year. In January and February they have cheap deals. I paid over £500 p.w. In a room which I had to share with another person.

I would be coming with my husband. Does the standard room have a shower or bathroom? Thank you
Hi! I only saw rooms that had showers, you might need to phone and find out what room they have allocated for you. Best wishes - Pauline
