#2 of 2 hotels in Bexhill-on-Sea
The Northern Hotel has been developed and improved by three generations of the Sims family. Today, while maintaining the friendly atmosphere that has always been a feature of the hotel, the family and staff endeavour to provide a high standard of cuisine, comfort and personal service. We are ideally situated in the heart of Bexhill, just a short distance to the Seafront, the famous De La Warr Pavilion and the Town Centre.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. Because of Covid they liked you to tell them what time you wanted breakfast and what you would like. There was a good choice and the food was well cooked. Lunch and evening meals were available on request only, but I did not try those.

If you are looking for answers or callbacks to these don't bother here. Instead of customer service you get fobbed off, rude reception on the telephone unless you call in the evening and asked intrusive, personal questions not relevant to your queries. A real let down....

Dear Sir/Madam We are curious and somewhat confused by your message. Our Reception Staff & Family Managers are well trained in taking telephone enquiries and would never ask intrusive or personal questions. I’m wondering if you have the correct establishment for we are flummoxed by your comments since we are generally regarded as courteous, gracious and helpful.

Our stay at the Northern hotel was very good. We wanted 2 single rooms, but due to them being unavailable, we got an upgrade to 2 double rooms for just € 10,- extra! Dinner and breakfast are really excellent with plenty of choices. The rooms we had were spacious and had everything we needed. Location is in a side street of the boulevard of Bexhill-on-Sea, approx. 100 meters from it. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Many thanks for the enjoyable stay!

This is the second time I have stayed at this gem of an hotel. Comfortable, warm and very clean room and so peaceful. The staff are lovely - nothing is too much trouble whether it's the front of house staff or the lovely staff in the dining room. Excellent food, served exactly as I requested by warm and friendly staff. The main rooms on the ground floor are beautifully decorated and maintained with plenty of spaces to sit and chat or read quietly. Very close to all amenities in Bexhill and just a few minutes walk from the sea front. I had a wonderful 4 days in this charming and original hotel - the standard of service is one that you rarely find today. I look forward to returning!
