Stayed 2 nights to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Fantastic location, right on the beach, and worth paying a little extra for a room with a sea view. Loved it here, even though it was February and the outdoor dining was not available. Went for a lovely windswept walk along the beach to Bexhill. Rooms are very comfortable and the...

We took friends out to lunch for a birthday celebration and although most of our order was acceptable there were several issues. Firstly, one of our number ordered soup which was barely warm, when this was mentioned to the waitress she just said she would tell the chef, it was still charged for! Another order was for a steak burger,...

We ate at the Hotels newly opened brassiere and all I can say is amazing. The whole experience from the polite and welcoming staff to the food and the surroundings were fantastic. Set in an idyllic location right on the beach where better place to eat freshly caught crab and Dover sole. As a person who knows fish inside out...

Today Sunday 26 Feb we decided to brace the wind and take a nice leisurely walk to the cooden beach hotel. We only wanted a coffee so we were told to go to the new revamped bar area. It looked really nice. I ordered our coffees and we sat down to a table of dirty dishes for at least 20...

Every thing was beautifully done, the food was lovely, the reception room was amazing and the whole function went off without a hitch. we would like to thank all of the staff for...

Totally disappointed. Booked a room for one night apparently day booked was the second day of the new restaurant. Hotel room disgustingly hot. Room above kitchens but not told about this. Service in restaurant disgusting. Waited ages for someone to bother to take our order. Not many customers when we were there so no reason to be ignored. Drinks not...

Our experience of the Cooden Beach Hotel afternon tea was extremely disappointing. It is a great pity that a charming hotel in such a lovely location, a pleasant room with comfortable seats could not come up with service and food to match. We had prebooked for a special birthday but there was no acknowlegdement when we arrived. We waited over half...

Was wanting to try this recently refurbished place and as a friend was treating us we opted to give it a go. Nicely revamped, but the welcome was a bit sour. Asked for a table for 3, when we were acknowledged, and was kept standing whilst the waitress huffed and puffed about having to 'go and see'. She returned and...

The Cooden Beach hotel restaurant has had a facelift and an extension and is now called the 'Cooden Beach Hotel Brasserie'. This review is purely about the restaurant, we didn't stay in the hotel. Would have awarded 4 and a half stars if possible. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bar has a 'gin' theme, so a good place...

My son had his wedding here and it was amazing. Everything was handled wonderfully and everyone had a great time. We stayed the night and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was also good. Went for afterwards on the beach. Would highly recommend this hotel.
