Detailed Reviews
A long awaited return visit to this wonderful bed and breakfast.
Jacky was her usual welcoming self. Very cheerful and greeted me like an old friend.
Because of covid extra measures to avoid any infection are now in place.
Jacky has gone above and beyond to make this place safe.
My beautiful sea view room was spotless and I felt really safe.
Antiviral sprays and sanitizing gel were available around the public areas as well as the rooms.
Breakfast is very safely served in individual portions.
I cannot recommend this lovely, family run place enough.
Very close to the seafront, town and De la Warr pavilion it is perfect for short or longer stays.
Thankyou Jacky

We really endorse all the positive comments made by so many others on this site. We stayed for just one night after attending a concert at the De la Warr Pavillion which is conveniently sited just across the road. Guests are offered a free parking permit at the theatre/public car park for the duration of the visit.
The premises are spotlessly clean and the en suite bedroom was ultra spacious and comfortable. We stayed in Room 7 on the first floor with good sea view.
Tea/coffee and cake was offered to us on arrival and available throughout the day at no extra cost. Breakfast menu was comprehensive with plenty of choice and provided a delicious and satisfying start to the day.
Jacky appears to work tirelessly to ensure that all her guests needs are catered for. We strongly recommend a stay to anyone visiting this area of the East Sussex coast or countryside.

We stayed for one night as we were attending a show at the pavilion.
We we're greeted with a wonderfully warm welcome and given a parking permit.
The room was excellent, impeccably presented with an amazing sea view.
Jacky, the proprietor, then brought us tea and cake to the room, served in a beautiful art deco tea service with cake forks - the attention to detail was wonderful and the home made cake was absolutely delicious.
We had a large bathroom with toiletries etc.. and a great selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc...
The following morning we had a delicious breakfast; lots to choose from and all prepared to order.
I travel an awful lot for work and virtually live in hotels for extended periods but Dunselma really stands out with a traditional personal feel that really makes it one of the nicest places I've stayed.
Can't recommend more highly

We went back to Dunselma again. It is still fabulous. An old building, but beautifully kept and maintained. Jacky works extremely hard, the rooms are spotless and nothing is too much trouble. A room with microwave, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer all for guests to use on the first floor must be so useful to people staying more than just a weekend. Jacky provides, if she has enough, a parking permit for the car park opposite, a huge saving, plus with the locality of the beach and town, we were able to park up for our stay. Great places to eat locally. Fabulous breakfast and very comfy bed!

A two-night stay at Dunselma, perfectly located almost opposite the De La Warr Pavilion and a short walk to a good seafood restaurant (Pebbles on the Beach). Jackie welcomed us with tea and cake after an eight hour drive and everything afterwards was first class. The fully equipped 'kitchenette/utility room' was a bonus. Jackie provides free parking permits for the car park opposite, 'subject to availability', but there was no problem on our visit in late July. Enthusiastically recommended and wouldn't stay anywhere else if ever in Bexhill again

I loved staying at Dunselma, a super B & B right on the sea front at Bexhill-on-Sea. Across the road is the fabulous Del a Warr Centre, and guests have a host of restaurants to choose from. You will find a warm welcome, comfortable bedrooms, and a splendid breakfast menu. I stayed for just one night, but I'm looking forward to visiting again.

A return visit to this lovely bed and breakfast a stones throw from the sea.
Run by amazing hosts Jacky and Brian I was welcomed with a lovely tray of tea and home made cake.
My bedroom on the first floor was well appointed and thoroughly clean. Precautions against covid were maintained throughout.
With a well filled courtesy tray and complimentary toiletries I was very happy.
Breakfast is always a delight with fresh brewed coffee and a delicious choice of breakfasts.
I really enjoyed my 9 day holiday and felt very relaxed.
Being opposite the De la Warr pavilion I attended two great concerts.
Bexhill is always a great place to be and Dunselma is the place to stay.
There is some traffic noise at the front, but it's peaceful at night.
I hopefully will return soon as its home from home

Perfect home from home BnB.
Even before arriving we had great comms from Jacky, the proprietor of Dunselma, through text to ensure she knew of our eta.
On arrival a warm welcome and the lovely surprise of a fresh brew and homemade cake brought to our room, 3 floors up at the top of the house, was just perfect.
Room and facilities were clean and comfortable. Complimentary bottled water provided is also a nice touch.
Delicious full english breakfast. My wife couldn’t finish her eggs and salmon it was such a large portion, I finished that too. 😁
Parking pass for opposite at the pavillion is provided by Jacky. Perfect for us as we were at a gig there. The carpark stay was extended after we checked out as we wanted to walk the beautiful promenade, again complimentary.
All in all a perfect home from home experience and we will be back now we have found Dunselma.
For anyone attending anything at the pavillion this is the perfect place to stay.

We spent one night here in January and werevery impressed. It is an old fashioned guest house B&B with great personal service from Jacky the landlady. We wereoffered tea and scones on arrival. The room was very clean and comfortable with toiletries and refreshment. Laundry facilites, books to read, local information and a free parking permit. We had an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice in a pleasant dining room. We would recommend this and would use it again if in the area.

I didn’t expect much, given that this was an inexpensive b&b right on the seafront but boy was I wrong. This is without doubt one of the finest b&bs I have ever stayed in. Our room was spotless with a good view over the sea. We had tea making facilities (very important) and the bed was very comfortable. Best of all was the extensive breakfast, far better than any breakfast you could buy locally. A real delight.
