A very pleasant stay, the room was very clean and stylish with an en suite shower and toilet. A very comfortable bed made for a good night's sleep. The full English breakfast was really nice and fresh. The host was very warm and welcoming. Good value for money and we would definitely stay again, 5 stars.
I recently stayed for 3 nights at the Barrington b&b. Great location as I travelled by train and the railway station is just around the corner and the B&b is near to the sea front. My room was bright and the decor coordinated well. The en suite bathroom was very clean and well stocked with toiletries and a spacious walk in shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. Facilities in the room include a t.v., kettle, tea and coffee, glass bottled water (replenished). Socket connections including usb connections. Wifi connection is very good. The owner Ruth is a very hospitable and friendly host as well as extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfast's were delicious and plenty of choices. Had many a pleasant chats with Ruth as she is very attentive to guests. Ruth is very knowledgeable about the local area and can recommend places to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Barrington and would recommend that if anyone is looking for a great b&b then this is the place to stay!…
Recently spent 2 nights here with my sister and elderly father. Our stay was wonderful. The bedrooms were well decorated, spacious and extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was extremely clean with a huge walk in shower. Windows opened fully to allow lots of air in. The breakfast was very good with lots of good quality food and drinks and I really enjoyed the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast. The owner could not do enough for us and was so very helpful and friendly. Lots of lovely touches in the rooms. Easy to walk from train station and very central. Could not fault a thing and we would recommend a hundred percent.
I have just stayed for two nights at this lovely B and B. I had stayed there on previous occasions but it is now under new ownership. What a lovely lady Ruth is- very knowledgeable and cannot do enough to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Room was absolutely lovely. Very pretty grey and lilac decor. Beds are really comfortable and it is so quiet there. Breakfast was amazing Full English, as much coffee toast and orange juice as you can manage and a chat afterwards. Try the home made bread it was gorgeous! Would thoroughly recommend staying here and hope to see you in the not too distant future Ruth.
Although living locally, we gave our home over to visiting family and stayed at this much understated bed and breakfast for 2 nights. Ideally situated just off the town centre this original Victorian building has been meticulously adapted to meet all Bed and Breakfast standards. We stayed in Room 3, super clean, freshly decorated, comfortable bed and bedding with a modern ensuite bathroom. Our host Ruth was friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. Whilst we didn’t take the breakfast on offer, the smell of bacon cooking was hugely enticing! We would not hesitate in recommending this B+B or visiting again.
I booked 3 rooms for an overnight stay as we were attending a show locally. Ruth was a great host and super friendly - we had to cancel one of the rooms last minute as one guest was ill but Ruth insisted we keep the third room for free meaning I got to enjoy a large room to myself, v. much appreciated! All rooms were clean and nicely decorated, nice little touches like the fresh milk you could use from the dining room for tea in the room. Breakfast was v. good and there was plenty of food. I also loved the friendly family dog :) Would definitely return if I found myself in the area again. Thanks for a great stay!
We stayed at the Barrington as we were going to a gig at the De La Warr Pavilion and had stayed here before for the same reason. Since our last stay the owners had changed but the current owner Ruth was very friendly and full of helpful information about the area. We were in the same bedroom (double ensuite) and it was still modern, clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast consisted of choice of cereals, toast and cooked breakfast (veggie option was available) and juice/tea/coffee which was good. If we were in the area again I am sure we would return!
Had a lovely nights stay in The Barrington B & B in Bexhill on Sea. The host, Ruth, was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was a good size and comfortably furnished with a very modern shower room. Breakfast was excellent and the location of the B&B is very close to shops, restaurants and the sea. We would definitely stay again if we revisit Bexhill on Sea.
I stayed here for a business trip for two nights and I'm so pleased I chose The Barrington as my place to stay. Spotlessly clean, cosy room which was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, coffee and tea facilities in the room, lovely new en suite bathroom and most importantly a comfy bed! Parking is relatively simple, there are plenty of free parking spaces along the front just a 5 minute walk away. The host was warm and friendly and communication was good before and whilst I stayed there. The best veggie breakfast I've had! Filled me up all day! Walking distance to the Seafront and the iconic De La Warr Pavilion. Definitely would recommend.
I stayed September 2019 for a few days and was overwhelmed by the thoughtful welcome I received. More than a bed, I felt cared for and supported and looked after. Nothing was too much trouble and to top it all I had the best sleep of my life in the most comfortable bed ever. Thank you so much, for everything. I'll be back soon. What you need to know... Comfortable bed in spacious rooms. En suites. Excellent choice of breakfast. Friendly and informative host. Good facilities Inc. Drinks, TV, ironing, towels etc.
