My husband and I first stumbled upon the Haywaggon when looking for a Sunday lunch at around 3pm and, having found everywhere else nearby had stopped serving food, we tried the Haywaggon - we certainly weren't disappointing! The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. The menu is very comprehensive - plenty of varied choices so you're sure...

Really enjoyed my 3 day stay in this quaint place. Lovely owners who made me feel very welcome and looked after. I would recommend for those with an interest in rock history (as this used to be Brian Jones local pub) and also not far to walk to all the pooh sites.

Sunday pub lunch after an Autumnal walk. Not a gastropub, just a pub pub. Food was really good. Roast beef dinner was best roast beef pub lunch I have had for ages. Good quality beef, everyone else scoffed down their dinner. Not a complaint to be heard from a notoriously picky bunch of dining companions. Two seperate fires going in...

I do not know where to start to explain what a perfect venue this was for our wedding. Brilliant food (everyone commented on how lovely it was). Wonderful staff - nothing is too much trouble. Lovely pre and post wedding accommodation. They provided me with much more than a venue. Mike is a truly wonderful person who goes above and...

Met for lunch with friends not seen for over thirty years. Splendid, friendly service, extensive menu and great food! Cosy atmosphere on a day with mixed sun and showers - waited out the rain in comfort. Easy parking in a lovely village.

We have eaten at the Haywaggon on 2 occasions in the last few months and on both the food has been reasonably priced and exceptionally good. The pub is full of character and the service from the friendly staff excellent. As one of us is on a gluten free diet it is often difficult to find good places to eat...

My family and I have been resident in the Hartfield area in excess of 20 years and have frequently visited the Haywagon for meals. However, we were extremely disappointed with the food we were served with on Saturday. My husband and I ordered fish pie with vegetables, the whole of the meal had clearly been pre-cooked and microwaved to such...

My husband and I had a roast lunch here last Sunday after a long walk at Hartfield. I had pork my husband the beef. For £13 I would expect a really good roast freshly cooked but sadly I don't think it was, I was very disappointed with the roast potatoes, they had been cooked and reheated which gives them a...

I reviewed this pub back in 2012 when it had gone downhill under very unfriendly new management. However, I am very pleased to say that having visited today for lunch, the warmth of the hospitality has returned and the unfriendly owners have gone! We had a lovely welcome and were made to feel at home straight away. The food was...
